This pub is your usual Glasgow bar with some interesting stuff on the wall and great music it is nothing posh just drinks and good food at an acceptable price. You can also sit outside this bar and enjoy a drink and watch Glasgow go by. The bar was very busy with lots of people having a good time and also lots of empty plates and people with a satisfied look on their faces, We pop in for a spot of lunch was extremely impressed with the menu as there was plenty of choice and variety. The service was excellent the food was hot and well presented with plenty of it we found it hard to finish it all. The bar was nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and professional. Accessibility I had no problems getting into and around the bar in my wheelchair.  I was too stuffed to go to the bathroom but my partner says there is a ramp to the bathrooms and that was accessibility toilet in the Ladies room.  As I didn't go I cannot give a review on how good their disabled bathrooms are but we will be going back in the near future. Would highly recommend this place for a drink or a spot of lunch.

just a very disappointing experience all together. --The Good-- the chips are nice, nothing special but I've certainly had worse the mozzarella sticks and sweet chilli dip are very nice. again hard to mess up but worth noting -- The Eh -- service is disappointing, wait on food was roughly 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches and 2 sides in an empty restaurant. never got a check back on the food the haggis croquettes were extremely disappointing, small portion size given the price with a watery whiskey sauce. expected a lot more for the price the philly cheese steak ciabatta was just fine. no real complaints, I wish it was better -- The Downright Bad -- The chicken club was extremely dry. felt like eating cardboard. could not finish it. -- Overall -- given the price and location I cannot see any reason to return to times square. with so many restaurants nearby at a similar price point the quality will have to improve considerably. if this was a small cafe in the middle no where it might be the kind of quality I expect. but for the middle of Glasgow quite frankly they need to try harder

Today we had some bad experience in Times Square. Staff was so lazy and non interested in our asks and orders. We asked for a menu, after 15 minutes we came and took a menu by ourselves. After an hour, we asked for another beer which we didn't get. As well, restaurant was playground for kid who was screaming and didn't get another guests to enjoy in food but his mother didn't try to calm him down. We had a really bad day, came to eat some food and drink beers but we were so dissapointed. Never again! Good luck!

I hate to leave such a poor rating but this place really needs better management. I would firstly like to emphasise that the staff were very nice and friendly people. But I'm completely unimpressed and concerned otherwise. First of all, no track and trace. Not even a QR code in sight, and no one even mentioned it to me. When I arrived for my booking they sat me at a random table, which hadn't been cleaned or sanitised from the previous customers, and the wine and cocktail menus at the table were covered in drink and sticky stuff. In fact, when we asked for a food menu my friend was given a used single use menu that the previous person had used to place their drinks on. I wasn't given any info on their covid restrictions such as how to order (like, if ordering at the bar is allowed or if there was an app/table service). It was then 15 minutes before anyone came to take my order, which then took another 10 minutes to arrive. When my friends joined me, it was the same situation all night. We frequently had to seek out the staff to place an order and twice my drink order was completely forgotten about. My friends ordered food and drinks at the same time, and the drinks didnt arrive until they had finished their food. We were ordering pints so its not like it was a complicated cocktail or anything.

Out of 6 toilet cubicles in the ladies, only one had a working lock. I didnt see a single bottle of hand sanatiser in the place at all. They were also still taking drinks out to tables at 10:27, despite the fact that everyone had to be out by 10:30, as is the law. My friends were hovered over by a member of staff to finish their drinks as it was after 10:30 and "the police might come", despite that there were still 3 other tables drinking. Some of the staff members were only not wearing face masks/had them under their noses/chins, and didn't seem bothered when customers walked around with no masks either.

I understand that I was there on a Saturday, but the place wasnt even that busy. Plenty of tables available which were being left for hours before being cleared of drinks or cleaned. I had read so many good reviews and recommendations from friends for this place so I just dont understand where it went wrong on this night. I work in hospitality myself in a management role so I really think that is where these problems lie. I completely understand how difficult things are at the moment and that staff are under a lot of pressure, but many of these issues arent covid related.

On a positive note, the music selection was really good and my friends really...

Very disappointed with here been here a lot over the years hadn’t been for a few months and me and my friend came in for dinner hungry after been out all day shopping when we came we didn’t get a very warm welcoming from the guy behind the bar we stood at the bar waiting to be served didn’t see that there was a sign at the start of the bar saying no service at that bit but the guy behind the bar told us 2 mins and served other people and left us standing there then my friend said we had been waiting and he’s serving other people and we have been there waiting for him to say no service at that bit which he could have told us instead of telling us 2 mins!! we ordered food and drinks starter and a main and 2 drinks we had been shopping all day so we said we would sit down and then the girl said we would have to go back and get our drinks it was cocktail so we thought we would sit down until they were ready but the guy took the other customers drinks over so why 1 rule for us but then other customer drinks were getting took to the table that was fine didn’t say anything we got our starters which were find our mains i got balmoral chicken I took 2 bits of mash and 1 bit of chicken and the chicken was pink inside it wasn’t off the bacon it was pink blood inside I told one of the girls and she made a face the way i took it she agreed it looked pink we ordered curry sauce with my friends food which was brought out after her food was nearly finished she got refunded for that and the other girl came over asking about my food telling me the other girl said I said I just didn’t like it which I never i told her chicken was pink and I couldn’t eat it it made me feel sick and put me off having anything she wouldn’t refund me saying i ate it which i only had 2 bits of mash and when i seen the middle of the chicken put me right off I was out all day shopping and was looking forward to a nice dinner I got no food and nothing but a horrible cheeky attitude off the girl who basically called me a liar. I work in hospitality and i know what it’s like dealing with difficult customers and we certainly weren’t been difficult I refuse to eat raw chicken the customer service was absolutely awful and the customers next to us said the exact same thing i’ll be phoning first thing in the morning and putting a complaint in I’ve never complained about nothing in my life but the service i got from in here was vile !!!!

just adding this in as I also posted a review on their facebook page and it has been deleted and I...

We we're seated right away at a table outside. Our waiter was very nice and took our order for drinks right away and then came back to take our order for food when we were ready. The server who served our drinks was also very nice and accommodated my wifes request for some orange juice in her drink.

Our food order came quickly as well, but as the waiter who delivered it placed it on the table (mid 30's, blonde with tattoos on his arms) left our table his last words were very clearly "ya bass". At first I thought that meant something like "enjoy your food" or something nice. But when I quickly googled it, I became aware of what that really means in Glasgow. Maybe he thought we were from another country because of our accents (we're from western Canada) as this has happened to us before (in Scotland years ago as well as in other countries more recently) but whatever his reason for saying what he did, I found it to be quite disturbing, rude, uncalled for and unacceptable. After finishing our drinks and meal, I paid the bill and did something I have only ever done once before in my life. I went inside and asked the waiter if he served us our food. He said yes. I then asked him why he said "ya bass" to me. He denied that he did. I questioned him again as I clearly heard him say it, and he denied it again. I told him that I am of Scottish decent 1st generation Canadian and would never say that to anyone as we (most of us!) Canadians would never do such a thing to a paying customer. I thanked him if he didn't and left. Too bad he completely ruined our first day in Glasgow. I have 2 recommendations.

  1. The owner or manager should fire the waiter. He clearly needs to understand that his feelings towards other countries peoples are not welcome in the service or tourism industry.
  2. People reading this, should go to this restaurant when in Glasgow as the other 2 servers, as well as the food, was great!

I posted this 2 weeks ago. No response from management. Kinda says it all. I retract my suggestion to go there anyway despite our experience. Ps Wendy's husband ,...
