Honestly I lived in many places in the world, this is the best Oriental food I ever had the Mongolian Lamb is to die for and the ribs absolutely delicious I have never tasted food of this level in London, Dubai or anywhere else I have lived. The service was absolutely perfect whilst we was waiting for a table the owner of the restaurant greeted me and my kids with chocolate once we was seated we was approached by the most friendly staff who not only presented us with a menu but also entertained my kids even going as far as showing the dishes on a tablet to my kids so they know what they will be eating everything that came out of the kitchen was of a heavenly taste and I mean it, "Heavenly" as I could not explain how Oriental food finally after 10 years of eating in a variety of restaurants can get to such a level that I can't wait to go back and eat everything from noodles to rice and any meat dishes. 11/10 honestly best Oriental food by a mile I think I would have to fly to the Asia to eat something better and thats not even guaranteed :) And the place was exquisite when it came to cleanness and atmosphere! Finally price was the fairest out of all the restaurants that we have been in Wales. Price is perfect, for perfect customer service perfect what else can...
Read moreIt wasn't just the seemingly random order the food was delivered to the table, neither was it the uncomfortable seats and the tacky decor, nor was it the indifferent attitude of the overworked staff, that puts me off ever going here again. It was the blandly tasteless food: curry sauce with little flavour and no bite, stuffed with potatoes to bulk it up, and barely a piece of chicken to be found; fried rice with all the appeal of diced cardboard; dim sum (that arrived after the mains despite being ordered as a starter) which defy a culinary description other than unappetising and sticky; and squid served in large cold chunks that cling to your teeth. To be fair, the chicken vermicelli was very good, and single handedly rescued a meal that can only be described as a bust. It wasn't enough to persuade me the restaurant, or it's senior partner next door, are worth a revisit. Restaurants are supposed to offer a pleasurable experience, not that of a cattle market, with the only highlight being the visit of Swansea's risible answer to Ali G. Quite frankly, if this is authenticity, give me the westernised version, it's...
Read moreReview for No.12, Swansea
No.12 is a small but charming Chinese restaurant in Swansea that offers a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The decor is beautifully done, making it a warm and inviting place to dine.
The menu has plenty of choices, catering to different tastes. We opted for the Korean rib, Singapore vermicelli chicken noodles, dim sum platter, and satay skewers. The standout dishes were definitely the rib and the noodles—both packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. Perfectly finished by mochi balls, ice cream and mango pomelo sago delicious 🤤
Service was impressively quick, and the overall experience was excellent. If you're looking for great food in a lovely setting, No.12 is highly...
