Buxton Pudding Emporium — Restaurant in High Peak

Visit the Shop on Friday 21st Jan. we purchased the now famous Buxton Pudding as seen on the Hairy Bikers show. On the recommendation of the Staff in there we also purchased the Vanilla custard and the Rice pudding.

On Saturday 22nd Jan we tried the rice pudding which had gone off even though the use by date was 23 Jan. On Sunday at our family lunch we dished be up the Buxton Pudding served with the custard as directed by the Lady in the shop. Much to our disappointment we found the custard had also go off and as we had it served with the custard already on the pudding, that was ruined too. We rang to point this out on the following Monday and explained the situation. We left all contact details and we have contacted them numerous times, however some 6 weeks later nothing has been done. We have rung and left emails, spoke to several members of Staff one of which was Dom who we believe is one of the co founders/Owners but never seem to get answers, explanations or information regarding this issue Customer service is non existent as far as we are concerned, the lack of communication is rude and unprofessional. I ordered these for a special occasion... I placed the order and received texts messages from the delivery company DPD with a delivery date and time. Then I received a text message saying no one was in! Well they were! Basically the DPD driver could not be bothered to find me, nor even ring me. I called the vendor who said it was not their fault it was the delivery company. I pointed out that they engage the delivery company, not me.... A gentleman later called back to say he had contacted the local delivery company and hoped the parcel would be delivered that day. Food was very nice & the service was good, but I was overcharged on my bill & didn't realise until we were on our way home. It has been an absolute nightmare trying to get my refund. It was only a small overcharge, but whilst the food was not massively expensive, it was a little pricey. Every penny counts these days. I have made six telephone calls & supplied my bank details nearly three days ago & I have still not received my refund. Neither of the two shops in Buxton can process a refund. The head office has to do this. I was promised a call back today, after calling them yet again & surprise surprise, no call back materialised.
