Inside it was FREEZING!
I tried the espresso 2 and the taste/ Scent was somthing like that of the juice from the bin! However, If I'm paying a whopping ÂŁ3.90 for a shot of espresso you can be sure as hell I'm pinching my nose and shotting it! I'm sure all us coffee addicts can agree, caffeine is caffeine.
This combined with the barista loud speech on American politics and capitalism, to a customer who only asked a question on the coffee, made him not only unapproachable but quite frankly obtrusive. We would've liked to have asked if the coffee was gone off but were too scared of the barista to ask, nevermind complain!
I make it my hobby to visit local coffee Conisors and baristas but when the menu describes the blend as a "Sumatra blend with soft chocolate, banana and Turkish delight" you don't expect an overpowering "prominent banana note". Certainly not a clear or concise menu offering!
Afterwards we decided to visit coffee#1 who were extremely smily and approachable and most importantly, warm inside on a cold morning! They offered the full-bodied Chocolately blend that is so so associated with a high quality Sumatra Coffee.
But if you do decide to visit The dandelion make sure you've packed your wooly hat, jumper and coat!
To the owner: I don't appreciate being called a spiteful coward! I felt the response you gave was very accurate for your baristas attitude. Defensive and obnoxious. I could've Been convinced to come back but with such an egostiscal attitude I'd rather a local shop who values education and class over insults.
Edit:
As a customer I shouldnt have to complain to get good service. You should ask, "is it too cold in here" or " is your coffee up to your tastes"?, you were too busy ranting on the state of American politics to even care. At the end of the day, regardless if the customer complains or not, they going to receive a service whereby the coffee tastes weird and its freezing and thats what my review reflects/warns.
I suggest you direct more of your negative energy arguing towards inputting my feedback and improving your service. (But let's be honest you don't want to provide a good service all you care about is your ratings and that reflected in...

I've heard of expression 'z niejednego pieca chleb jeĆÄ' which could be translated as 'eat bread from many ovens'... And that means you have your way around. You know stuff and have experience... In many things in life. And yeah i do consider my self as a such person. Someone whom been there, done that.. Know this or that.
Yes i had that cheeky hedonistic approach to life and snacks, cakes, coffee and all things good.. Or bad. But hear me hear me! Nothing prepares you to this! Let's start with... Well raw walls. Nothing fancy, hipster look like... It's a wall of which old wallpaper was scrubbed off and you see different layers of paint and some missing bits and maybe if you look closely bricks even? And you know what? I love it! It's that zing. That x factor that makes you feel... Well you don't know why but you feel in your comfort zone. It's yoiryown nirvana. It's that calm around you but you can't point it out. Spot on!
And there is coffee. I had many, from many different places, done by many different people in many different ways. This one is... Well probably one of the best i had this year. Or even in last two years. You know what? Sod it. It's the best coffee of a decade!
Chocolate... The way its boxed, with napkin and fork and what's inside... Having it while i was waiting for bus i felt like a criminal. Doing something highly illegal and deeply criminal. I felt guilty. I wanted to just have it all in one go... But i had it slowly. I was enjoying every bite, top, bottom, middle. Was like making a love to my first truly. Slowly, i was enjoying every second of it. Tasting it, licking it and feeling how it goes down and sits inside me. Feeling that warm and fuzzy feeling. Those chocolate butterflies. I was amazed and wanted this moment to last forever. If there's a cure to all of our problems... That chocolate cake they serving is that! It should be given with prescription by GPs. To make you feel happier and better.
This is a little gem hidden in Buxton. Itsya place i will visit again. Hoping for more. For better...
Read moreReal coffee lovers STOP HERE!!! We were only in Buxton for the afternoon, but when I googled nearby coffee shops, that beautiful hand painted vintage style sign had me at yellow and I knew that had to be the one đ First, I walked in to the most beautiful coffee cloud, smelling like heaven as we opened the door and entered the shop. We grabbed some chairs in this low key beautiful little laid back place and debated over the intriguing menu...this was not your average coffee shop and we knew straight away. We ordered hot chocolates for the kids (one normal milk and one oat milk for the dairy intolerant boy, they had soy available also) who were so impressed with the very grown up and fancy looking cups they received, each filled with velvety dark and rich hot chocolate that was not like any they've tasted before...not too sweet and definitely not your run of the mill hot chocolates...these were ones to remember and judge all others by from now on! The grown ups drinks arrived straight after and the aroma of that honey latte hit me straight away, then the taste đ divine! Thank you guy's at Dandelion for the exceptionally perfect coffee pit stop...those were honestly the best we've had. Smell, taste, temperature, just beaut I tell ya! Hopefully if we ever get to visit Buxton again in future we can sample some more of your delightful...
