Chakra Lounge, my experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the delectable food to the wonderful service and pleasant ambience, this place has earned a well-deserved 5-star rating in my books. The highlight of my visit was the Mummy Tiffin dish, which consisted of naan, dal, sabji, and a side of fresh salad. The flavors were outstanding, and each element of the dish was cooked to perfection. I also tried the Dal Palak and Gobi Angara dishes with rice. Both dishes were delicious and well-prepared. The Dal Palak had a lovely combination of lentils and spinach, creating a wholesome and flavorful dish. The Gobi Angara, featuring cauliflower in a spicy sauce, was a delightful treat that added a punch of flavor to the meal. To complete my dining experience, I ordered a cup of Masala Chai. The chai was aromatic and had a perfect balance of spices. It was a comforting and satisfying beverage that complemented the meal wonderfully. The restaurant had a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The service provided by the staff was exceptional. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. The Mummy Tiffin, along with the Dal Palak, Gobi Angara, and Masala Chai, were all outstanding. Chakra Lounge has definitely earned its 5-star rating, and I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Was looking for somewhere a bit different to have lunch on a short visit to Buxton, and this café caught my eye! I was greeted by a friendly and smiley young waitress who made me feel really welcome. The café was very busy, almost full, but she found me a table close to the entrance. I loved the cosy but vibrant atmosphere, and the colourful Indian decor with its intricate artwork and abundant floral decoration. Family friendly and dog friendly. The toilets are up a flight of stairs, but they were clean and well kept. There was lots of choice on the menu, from street food to imaginative main courses, and breakfasts with an Indian twist. I ordered the Desi English Breakfast, which combined the familiar British bacon, sausage, fried egg and mushrooms with potatoes flavoured with cumin and a bowl of masala spiced beans. Well cooked, with just the right level of spiciness, and ample portions. There was a wide choice of unusual and creative hot and cold drinks, but I opted for the straight latte, and it was very good. Pity I was so full, because there was a tempting selection of cakes and pastries to try. Service was both quick and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable. I was so glad I found this place! Would happily recommend!

Super tasty food, great music and a great vibe. We booked the night before via phone but we probably didn't need to as we went on a weekday for breakfast. If you were going on the weekend then I'd recommend booking. The first thing that struck me when I went in was the smell. It's not something people think of in restaurants but it was a really light incense style smell that was warming and homely. The decor is bright but not overpowering with some quirky upside down umbrellas too. The tables are decently sized. I got a "vegan indi breakfast" and my partner got "if Indians did it". I got an iced latte and my partner got a tea. Everything was really tasty, with great consideration to each ingredient. If you didn't like coriander, I'd specify as it came with it but it wasn't overpowering. The masala beans were tasty, there were probably just too many! The sausages were Linda McCartney ones but were cooked really nicely and the scrambled tofu was great too. The standouts though were the mushrooms and sweet cumin potatoes. They offer far more than breakfast and are definitely worth a second visit.

Called into the chakra lounge whilst in Buxton. I was impressed with the allergy and intolerance information displayed on the website. As a coeliac family I do ask a lot of questions regarding food prep and ingredients and the website displayed a positive vision. We were approached after a short wait by a young lady who stated they had no available tables for 4 however they did have one reserved which we could have for 40 mins. We also could not order food due to a delay. We were not offered an alternative of two small tables which would have been a better choice (they also turned away others without offering an alternative) we sat for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. I went to the counter to look at the drinks available and was told in a very abrupt way that we would be served at the table. I was simply looking at the gf cakes and drinks on display. Out of the three staff only one young girl spoke with a very arrogant manner. I’m not one to complain but on this occasion the whole atmosphere made me feel I was not welcome. I love eating out and have worked in the industry I understand at busy times it can be quite stressful waiting on but the staff seemed to be tripping over themselves with many clean set tables. The staff came across like they didn’t like their job, no welcome or bubbly feel. I decided to leave as we were left with 10 minutes before the next table and a very unwelcoming feel. We can’t eat many places on this occasion traveled home without food with two very upset and hungry children. I would hate others to have the same experience. I can see many good reviews so maybe this was an off day but the staff were absolutely appalling the one experience has made me feel so unhappy I will not...
