I was going to leave a review anyway but have seen recent reviews of 3 stars without comment or low reviews with comments such as 'still living in lockdown'. This is disappointing as it is probably down to the table service which is the venue's choice not the customer...rightly so. My wife, little one and I came here for a drink during our week's holiday. I am a right beer geek so being in Buxton is a real winner. We quite like the table service as Covid hasn't gone away and it is to protect others and staff. I ordered a pint of Wreckless on cask as...well, why wouldn't you. It was creamy and very quaffable. My wife had a NZ Sauv Blanc which was delightful. I couldn't go without trying a half pint of Track DIPA which was soooo good. The staff were friendly and attentive. The guy who served us greeted us with a smile and was more than happy to help. May come back here later this week if I have the time...fingers crossed!

Situated in a former bank building, this bar is simply fabulous, It features one good sized room on the ground floor with a small seated mezzanine area on the first floor level. The toilets are on the ground floor & on the date of inspection were spotless. This place has great beers, both on cask & micro keg. If you're not familiar with Red Willow brewery, they are well worth a try & im confident you wont be disappointed. They have beers to suit most tastes here. It can get very busy at times, especially in the evenings (Friday & Saturday) if you like a quiet drink & conversation I recommend visiting on a Wed or Thurs when they first open (@4pm) as it does have a habit of filling up quickly. To summerise, I highly recommended this place.

We came here for a couple of drinks and a pizza. The food menu is quite limited to just pizza but don't let that deter you as the pizzas are fantastic! So tasty and full of flavour with just the right amount of toppings. We went for the Margherita and definitely recommend it. Such a good price too. They have a large selection of beers which are displayed on the big screen over the bar. The staff are very knowledgeable about these beers and made some good recommendations. My partner told me she enjoyed the Picpoul white wine that she went for, so there are nice drinks for those who aren't into beer. The staff were really friendly and attentive. Highly recommend coming here!

Nice pub, but at 10oC outside with the front doors wide open it was quite cold. When smokers started puffing outside, all the smoke was coming into the pub, I asked the lad behind the bar if I could close the door in which he agree.

The short tattooed bar tender then went out for a fag and propped the doors wide open again. I didn't know at this point he worked there. I removed the door wedge and put it on the bar. The short tattooed bar tender then gave me a whole load of abuse over smokers rights and told us to go and drink somewhere else.

Given the unfriendly and abusive nature of this idiot we left promptly, this guy clearly has no respect for firstly the comfort of his customers, for the establishment or for non smokers. There is a Greene King pub around the corner called the Old Club House opposite the theatre, with a much better atmosphere, music, it's warm and above all no smoke pouring through, oh and of course no...
