I came here yesterday for a meal with 3 other people. It was about 3pm, I hadn't eaten prior to coming and I ate nothing else that day after I'd ate this meal. I ordered the jalapeno poppers to start and for main I had the chicken goujon burger meal. I will add firstly that although the bap I had my burger served in was stale and the chips were a bit tough and the crockery had seen better days, the rest of the meal was enjoyable. Fast forward 10 hours .... It's now 1am and I am starting to get some extreme pain in my upper abdomen. It felt as though my stomach was on fire and I had recurring severe cramps. Along with this I had the most intense Back ache ever. Like a feeling of being kicked repeatedly. I then started going to the toilet. I would say I visited the toilet about every 30 to 60 minutes to begin with and then when I no longer had anything left in me, my visits were more frequent. Each time the burning sensations and the cramps got worse. I would eventually get back to sleep through the pain and then be woken again with hot sweats and cold chills, burning pains, cramps and a need for the loo. 14 hours later I got in to my GP. They have confirmed food poisoning. I then tried to speak to the chef DANIEL to make him aware of my experience but all he was bothered about was that "he'd had no other problems". He didn't take on board what I was saying, he had a stinking attitude and told me to ring head office and the food standards agency if I'm that bothered. They were just completely dismissive when I was mearly making them aware that there is an issue somewhere and by highlighting it, I'd hoped that no one else would have to suffer after eating from there. I would not recommend this place at all. DO NOT TAKE NOTICE OF THEIR 5 HYGIENE RATING. IT MEANS NOTHING. something is currently not right with this place and they're that dismissive I highly doubt it'll be put right...

We went has a party of 5, reserved a table, and was very happy with it being in the window. We went to the bar to get drinks and a lady said I will be with you in a minute as she was getting drinks for someone else, but it was lovely to be acknowledged.We got our drinks, had a look at the menus, and ordered the food.We were told how long we would have to wait and that was alright by us all.We had two starters which were the mushrooms, they were very nice.When the main courses came it was lovely, a large fish and chips, the pie, gammon steak and two mixed grill, the steak and meat on the mixed grill were lovely and we were asked if we needed anything else.All the plates were cleared, the staff were lovely and cleared the plates when we had all finished.We all really enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back for...
