Stars Licensed Cafe — Restaurant in High Peak

Stars has good food but that's not why it gets a 1 star , the one star came from staff rudeness we started frequenting stars cafe at the beginning of eat out help out , we thought we found a little gem , I'm dairy intolerant when ordering I made it clear that cross contamination would not be good , the lovely waiter took my order , came back asked if I was dairy intolerant after me stating it when we ordered, so she went back to her collegue cooking , her collegue then states in a whisper she thought I couldnt hear ,he should have bloody said when he ordered, I heard this , instantly stood up and challenged her on her comments , she then backtracked stating she was addressing me , well that's even worse but she wasn't , this was a moan to her collegue , I called her out then...

After leaving The Hyrdo in dismay (slightly further down the parade) we stumbled across this cafe. Firstly, the two ladies who work here are attentive, friendly and welcoming. There were many gluten free options available (which is great!). I had to ask questions about other food items (due to pregnancy) and nothing was too much for the lady who served us, she really went out of her way to help. The food was delicious here. I was very satisfied with my meal. I hope the two staff members get to read this as I was very impressed today. Would definitely return (although I don't live in Buxton) and...

The food I had today was nice except the veg sausages aren't my cup of tea maybe for a full vegetarian, restaurant made so should be nice for 100%vegetarian soul 🙂

The only thing I'm curious about is their hot water is £1 fair enough they have to use electric for that & it helps me to be mindful about it. I could order a tea but I had caffeine already and I don't do well when I'm overloaded with caffeine. But I won't spend £1 for hot water so I stick to their free cold tap water 😁
