Awfully average place.

Let's begin with... Offering me slice of banana / pineapple loaf to be wormed up. Sorry but when was last time you went to caffe and had a slice of a cake and it was offered for you to wormed it up? 🤔🤦 But i digress. Because... It tasted just awful. Probably only due to the fact that my stomach can go through everything I didn't get stomach bug. Really it tasted like it was few days after best before. And it was hard. And I don't mean hard as dry weatabix. You could use it to make walls. Gerald from Clarksons farm could use those.

Then there was a chai late. Ordered spiced chai late got just regular chai late. Despite being asked regular or large. And up until this moment I didn't know you can make drink as late to be even more boring than it was originally. And that takes some skills to do it. This late was the worst I had I many years. And I always take chai late. Everywhere I go. It's my benchmark I know how I like it. Well surprise! This one was as boring as drinking water. Oh and I love cinnamon. Was offered this time and I said yes please. Only to have it all over the mug including holder. So now I had cinnamon on my fingers too. Great.

And the music. Yeah I know you shouldn't really discuss others people music taste. But here? You have a feeling that playlist was made by someone not interested in music at all. Bold, boring, annoying even. If you YT - worst cover band ever you will find some really cringe songs. This is how I felt listening to this selection.

Spring Gardens in Buxton is full of caffe places you can sit and enjoy it. This one needs to try much much harder to win with competition. As you are spoiled for choice. And...

We visited today 35 minutes before closing time and ordered 4 hot drinks. Despite asking for an Americano, we received a white coffee instead. We were disappointed to be given our drinks in disposable cups, despite having taken a seat. We also ordered some cakes - of which there was an excellent variety and exceptional quality - but when we asked for a knife and plate (to cut up and share), we were told this was not possible as the shop was "closing at 4pm". Therefore, we were forced to cut these on a napkin, with a coffee stirrer. We had been made to feel as if a knife wasn't worth the washing up. The table was not clean and we would have been willing to put this aside, had the attitude of the staff been more welcoming and/or friendly. Picture of plastic lids and cakes...

Been here many times and have enjoyed it the coffee is nice . However I went in today and one of the young women who was making the coffee was incredibly rude from the minute we ordered spoke about us to colleague infront of us and then proceeded to slam drink and straw on counter before walking away not looking or saying anything to us we said thank you but she had walked away so didn’t hear as we were leaving she shouted your welcome across the cafe in a rude tone it’s a shame as the other staff were so nice but this staff member had an...

Yep people would say another coffee shop on the high street ! But I love this one it’s very cosy & inviting you in ! The colours are not bright just a beautiful tone ! Tables out side ! Coffee is of great value but could be under £3.00 ! Staff are fantastic 10/10 ! Tables are well spaced ! Menu is very clear & products well displayed! Toilets , baby chairs all on one floor ! So when in Buxton go for a cheeky coffee & slice of their amazing cheese cake !
