Much the same experience as so many people who come here. Never have I ever seen restaurant staff so consistently rude and judgmental towards customers - who are paying extremely over priced amounts for average food (compared to competitors). Every time I’ve been here the staff have been rude to me (despite always being polite with them). They automatically assume that if you’re white, you’re there to be abusive and drunk, even when you’re clearly not being so. They I asked if they did tofu, she said yes, so I said can I have tofu and vegetable chow mien. She charged me 9 pounds for separate salt n pepper tofu, as well 12 quid for a separate portion of chow mien. They stay open later than any other Chinese - clearly a business tactic. If you’ve chosen to do this, you have to be prepared that you’re going to get a late night crowd. All of the staff here seem scarred by serving drunk people, so they treat every one that comes in with utter contempt. I’ve never seen staff be so bad to customers ever, it’s like kitchen nightmares. The food, by the way, is the most bang average Chinese you will find. Nothing out of the ordinary, but a good 30% more expensive than everywhere else. If you do anything, avoid this place like the plague. They don’t...
Read moreSo I visited this "restaurant" on Friday evening my and my friend both ordered sui mai for starter and my friend had stir fry beef in curry sauce and I ordered the Thai green curry, being the first time in China town in Liverpool the place had a rather unusual smell to it, toilets where not looking in their peak for the men's at least mirror needed cleaning at the bare minimum but overall looked aged and neglected in fairness this should have been a warning sign to both of us however being in restaurants from south Asia before I know to sometimes overlook the superficial. The food, well first the positives it arrived quickly and the rice was of decent quality however not sticky enough for Thai rice for what I ordered The negatives the dish my friend ordered was not stir fried the beef in his dish was very cheap meat which I suspect was frozen and had an almost slime texture to the outside same with the chicken to my dish the sui mai was without a doubt brought in frozen with little flavour all in all this would have been acceptable but disappointing " chipshop" food to have this served in a restaurant and to pay £18 per head was beyond dismal and will not...
Read moreFood was the most bland pointless thing. Every other place on the street in China town was packed and for good reason this was empty. Tried it anyway, the food was seasonless and bland. Char sui war rock hard, mushrooms weren't even cooked through. Spent over 50 pounds on 1 soup and 2 mains. Go to a takeaway instead of here, heard another customers complaining too, they asked if I want prawn crackers with hot and sour soup, which are usually complimentary. Charged 3.50 on the bill. Prices high, food awful. Menu small and cant even get what they have on it right. Service bad and staff were miserable and cold. I never leave reviews or complain but I just got out of there as quick as possible.cant imagine this resteraunts gonna be there in a years time with this standard. Every other place on the street was filled with chinese guests and this one was empty and only had white people i should have seen this as a sign. I thought I'd sleep on it before I left a review woke up this morning even more angry. Didn't finish either of our plates except for the soup. DO NOT WASTE...
