There are moments in life where you remember the cocktail you had… the way it tasted… how it was more than you could imagine - the perfect balance of sweetness, bitterness and alcohol. That memory is the litmus test you use every time you order that cocktail… yet it’s never the same and can’t compare… The Petite Cafe absolutely knows cocktails - classic as well as modern. Ask Giorgos for a rum old fashioned… Your blown away… Ask Hanna for her interpretation of Trinidad Sour… it’s the best Angostura based cocktail you have ever tasted. You will order another again and again, The food is appropriate; small bites like cheese board, mixed nuts or the blistered peppers. Couple it all with a wide selection of cocktails and wine. The setting is intimate yet lively. It’s the atmosphere. It’s the bartenders. It’s their curiosity and desire to provide a unique experience… again one that will rarely be measured up to. This is my absolute favorite place in the UK! Thank you!

Now, there are those places in the auspices of consequence that are an intrigue and this little spot achieves that. Advised by GQ to give it a go, and wander in I did. Kind of a place with that French nuance ya kinda hope that it will be achieved; good wine, a cocktail list (that’s not going to burn you), beer options to suit, with some nourishment that enhances it all. Simone de Beauvoir and Jean Paul Sartre could have just been sitting there chatting, I felt I was in the right place with Nina Simone playing in the background to take me back to Parisian times. Wine was simply spot on, cocktail of French 75 with piquant lemon to make me remember I should make this place a regular spot. Staff so inviting, just makes ya feel comfortable. Never change what ye are doing, as ye have made your mark 👋😊x

Highly recommended (especially Jazz night) I've wanted to visit here for some time. My partner surprised me with a night here last night to watch Jazz 🎶 incredible place especially with the fairy lights and live music. Great selection of wines, cocktails and beers and picky bits to eat. The two staff who where on shift they deserve a massive well done. From the woman behind the bar making all the cocktails non stop to the guy who was serving. You're made to feel welcome from the start as the woman bartender waved, smiled and pointed to seats. This makes a great difference to how you judge a place. The guy who was serving had a great knowledge of the wines and recommended a few. I asked about a cocktail but they don't do crushed ice and I like how he just knew that! Amazing personality.

DO NOT COME HERE.

I’d give it 0 stars if I could. Staff were extremely rude, especially the manager(?) who kept wanted us to buy more drinks. It was a birthday treat for myself and my friend and we stayed no longer than 30 minutes. We wanted to enjoy the jazz, as being the staple of the night, we came. Firstly we ordered drinks which were okay, then as soon as we finished them he said ‘do you want more drinks’ and being a person who doesn’t really drink I said not now. Then he said if we wanted the bill and pointing towards the door. And that “people were lining up outside” so that we needed to leave. He clearly wanted us to spend more money the whole 30 minutes we were there. (The £4.50 handful of pretzels weren’t great either) He asked us many times if we wanted the bill. We couldn’t even enjoy the music without being asked and we decided it was best to leave. It’s a shame as it is a great venue with great talent - but it doesn’t mean anything when having awful rude service unfortunately.

If you, the manager or anyone that is reading this - then please be aware that there is no set amount to spend at a place, and that you are lucky to have people at your venue. Manners help as...

Was a lovely place with excellent cocktails and an incredible atmosphere. The man who took our drinks was extremely fun and slightly quirky which just enhanced the experience all around. However, as we were leaving I felt quite hot in the face (Asian blush ha) and I needed to splash some water on my face. I went to get a glass from my table as the bathroom was occupied and a girl had taken them from the table to clean it. I thought “no bother” and decided to pour a small amount into my hand to relieve my face. She immediately, in front of everyone and loudly, announced that “next time you can ask for a glass, you need to respect this establishment”. A terribly dramatic thing to say I believe but I suppose she was feeling down that day. Either way I don’t believe she should be working at a job she doesn’t like and I hope she feels better soon. Otherwise...
