I brought a group of boys from Hong Kong, who are boarders at Warwick School. We had done a morning tour of Anfield Stadium tour and were on our way to Old Trafford to watch the UNICEF football match. The boys were very hungry, so I randomly chose this restaurant for them to experience some oriental food. What a find. We were made to feel so welcome and the manageress was able to converse with the boys in Mandarin, as well as revert back to her Liverpudlian accent. The service was great and the food delicious. It added a whole new dimension to our day and the boys moved on to the football satisfied, having experienced food as good as they would expect back at home. We went there late after arriving in Liverpool late... We went to China Town expecting a bustling street but it was quiet. We took our chances and went to New captial and got sweet and sour chicken, special fried rice, Singapore noodles and prawn toast with chips just to be on the safe side.... We thought it was a bit pricey but when we got back to the hotel and tasted the food... Wow it was the best Chinese I've had since 1995... This is what Chinese food Should taste like.... You can get your cheap MSG ridden run of the mill take away or you can new capital...
