Great new Vietnamese style restaurant just opened this month (October 2024).
Went with family and friends and had lovely food & drink and a great time. All the staff were very friendly and informative with the waiter we had clearly passionate about the food and able to provide recommendations and / or explain dishes if necessary.
Meal sizes were generous so no room for a desert after a starter and main. Next time we'll go better prepared by skipping lunch (we were there for dinner).
Decor was well done (in good condition obviously given Le Viet Social has only recently opened) - some lovely floral arrangements (even though the flowers were artificial as my botanist partner pointed out).
Cutlery and crockery don't normally deserve a mention but they were simple stylish and elegant and were clearly chosen with care and consideration to complement the overall decor in the restaurant.
Some small points - candle on table wasn't lit during our stay. I hadn't even noticed it but my partner commented at the end. Service was a bit stretched due to the large group present but we were kept informed and our starters turned up quickly so we weren't desperate for our food.
These were clearly teething issues as Le Vet Social had only been open a week when we went but they weren't big enough factors to detract from our night out or reduce the star rating.
Recommended for a great night out for family, friends for just a night out or a...
Read moreThis restaurant is a diner's gold mine!!! It goes about it's business quietly and unassuming, and rightly so!! As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted with such hospitality and warmth. I was seated and handed my menus and opted for the lunch menu, choosing Cha Nem and Pho Ga. As a first time diner here, I did not know what to expect. I wasn't disappointed!! The Cha Nem were a delight!! They were hot, crispy and packed with flavour. They were a perfect balance of flavors, one flavour not overpowering the other. They were accompanied by a light Nước chấm dipping sauce. This added a picquant freshness to the rolls. Next, came the Pho Ga. With a Pho, it is all about the broth and this was good! It was clear, light and meaty with the subtly of star anise in the background. I tried the broth without the accompanying herbs, beansprouts, chilli and lime. It was hot and full of flavour. I added the accompaniments and added the lime and these took it to another level of freshness and flavour. For drinks, I chose a strawberry Matcha bubble tea. It was creamy and fruity with that matcha taste, then came bubbles and they added great flavour. All in all, it was a great dining experience with good food, great surroundings and fabulous hospitality. I will...
Read moreIt’s a must try restaurant based in Liverpool. Every time I have a trip to Liverpool, we always think about Le Viet social as the first option for delicious food and excellent services. All the dishes are decorated beautifully with fresh vegetables, and the taste is flavourful, balanced and authentic in my opinion as a Vietnamese girl. I’m especially in love with Bo Luc Lac (grilled beef with peppers n onions) and Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup), and the lemon chicken wings. The fish sauce is well-balanced with the mixture of sweetness, sourness and spices. The drinks, also, are absolutely amazing, particularly Vietnamese iced coffee and the taro - matcha milk tea which are slightly sweet and odorous and perfectly match the Asian flavours. The owners, who are half Vietnamese half Hongkong, treat us really nice. They are sweet, attentive, friendly and always take care of us during the meals. We have great conversation with them, and feel like we’re welcomed and appreciated. Thank you so much. And we deffo come back here to explore...
