Let me start this by saying the experience was overall positive but there was one thing that bugged me as someone who has spent their life in customer-oriented roles.
While I was inside there were only 3 or 4 other groups, totalling no more than 7 or 8 collectively between us and there were easily as many or slightly more staff. My issue was the lack of interest the staff had. I understand the soul-crushing-ness of retail and hospitality as I've worked in both! I can't imagine how much worse it gets in the fast-food side. Regardless, I went up to the till to make my order and rather than being told that wasn't how you ordered in this place, they just ignored me and kept about their business. There were numerous points where 2 to 4 of the staff were standing around for a couple of minutes at a time and one woman made eye-contact with me several times before coming over to the till to check in. After I mentioned that I'd like to order she politely instructed me to order at the screens and then await the order being called. While it was a little embarrassing I was grateful for her courtesy and went to the screens without causing a fuss.
Everything after that was great!
The order was called and I sat and enjoyed what could honestly be the freshest tasting McDonald's burger I'd ever eaten and it was only a double cheeseburger, not even one of the signature selection.
Overall:
Service 3/5 Food 4/5 Speed 4/5
I was there late at night and honestly this was my first time in Liverpool so I'm not sure if this is the normal way to order at McDonalds in this city as I live in Edinburgh where every McDonald's I've been to has always had the option of either screens or ordering...
Read moreSo I ordered a kid's meal with four nuggets and my younger daughter wanted milk, no problem quick food tips for nice burgers was nice....
Only problem is when my son(who is autistic) told me like dad this milk doesn't taste nice and I was like yeah you're right let me just go and get that for a different drink I'll get you oasis instead.
Go up to an extremely rude aggressive cashier explain that my son basically said she thought the milk was off, to which he replied it's still in date though although it was 4/5 full
And I said look lad I'm not trying to be difficult all I'm asking is it if you could change this milk which smells got off to me and my daughter you could just replace it with an oasis.
Then he was being difficult so I said oh I'll get the manager manager comes over with the same rhetoric of it's open it's open to we can't change it I said to them ok...
So if I returned with cold chips would you refuse to replace them now?
So would it really be necessary to review a McDonald's I actually do like???
just to be told that because the milk is slightly opened they can't take it back well what about all the chips that I get taken back and put in the bin.
Why could he not just put the milk in the bin and say cos no problem do apologise about here is a drink.
Should be ashamed of themselves causing absolute drama over nothing. Al
Last comment how am I meant to know if the milk is gone off if I can't open it and then the roll is all you've opened it so you...
Read moreI have popped into this establishment several times times now. Each time I am so taken back by a very bubbly lady called Clare/Claire. She always energising or motivating the staff in store. Is there nothing she can’t do - last time I came in she was painting and still polite and helpful! Today I was so impressed again by Miss C she was serving behind counter and I was served writhing a couple of seconds of standing at till. While Miss C worked she was getting really involved with the staff ensuring everyone was okay and energised and working quickly/efficiently. Is she the Manager? Lots of happy smiles behind the counter and I loved her way with the staff. All smiling with nice positive energy including the Christmas jumpers - brilliant.
Everyone was working with a smile.
Loved listening and watching it. 💪
Apologies for posting Olives, unable to eat breakfast due to other reasons. Felt completely relaxed and comfortable and thankful I was allowed to eat them....
