Dirty tables but a bit of understanding due to only two staff appearing to do the floor work when incredibly busy. Incredibly hot.. Looks like they had air conditioning but for some reason (money?) it wasn't turned on making it very uncomfortable. The mash was horrendous, dried out nasty Puck. The meat is all as tough as boot leather. Only fresh things seemed to be the black pudding (paid extra) peas and egg. Tomato was luke warm and tasteless. No condiments were available, usually in the other wetherspoons I've been in they have a "zone" with them, here however they didn't have any and they weren't offered either (may have helped the boot leather have some flavour/moisture). Huge selection of cask ales and bottles, so that's a plus. Overall however, dark, dingey, poor food and no AC, unless you just want cheap beer in the dark (may be a plus for some people?).. Avoid.

New place for us - we didn't know it existed until this visit. Nice bar, standard Wetherspoons fare - you know what you're getting and the quality and prices are generally similar whichever area you are in. Tables slow to be cleared so we shifted stuff to another table and asked one of the staff if they could come and wipe the table down. Nobody came - so we got a cloth and did it ourselves. Food was okay, Chicken Jalfrezi for me and my partner had the Chicken Naga, chips were a little undercooked and we both found small bones in the chicken. Great area between Bold Street and Concert Street with lots of bars and outside seating. We even got to hear music inside Wetherspoons (a first ever) but that's because it was very loud coming from a nearby bar!

One of the many Weatherspoon pubs in Liverpool a few steps away from the popular Bold Street. Lots is restaurants ,pubs and night life activities here that get especially packed in the evenings of the weekends . and holiday periods. This place has got two floors , is spacious and a decent number or toilets for the ladies which is accessible on the upper floor. Food here is fairly standard but served quick where u order via their app from the comfort of your chair.

I am in utter disbelief I’m actually writing this review. The treatment me and my group received last night was completely unacceptable and needs to noted at every possible place I can.

It was about 9:30-10 pm, we were having some food and drinks celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday. My girlfriend had drank something not from the premises. I would like start by saying she sipped it, while I understand the letter of the law is if it’s not from their premises you can’t have it. We had no issue with that at all, I said I’d like to talk to the manager to just mention we spent a lot, and see if they could understand our situation. Whoever the staff member is went about absolutely horribly, got 3-5 bouncers over surrounding our table. None of us once refused to leave. I asked to speak to the boss / manager before leaving. I said I’d happily walk up. They dragged one of the members of our group all because he repeated what I had said saying we’d like to speak to a manager. Not only did they drag him, they felt the need to push him down stairs, he didn’t refuse to leave and said he could walk just fine. There was no need for their power trip, yet they felt it was necessary. James ended up with a massive cut across his head. Which at the time was gushing blood. There was no reason for this behaviour from the security. Then, I asked the bouncer as I was still at the table by this point wondering if I could speak to a manager, I knew the situation would ease very quickly if that was the case. Yet, he refused. So I said to him in the exact words “what are you gaining from this power trip?” He completely lost it, reefed me from my chair, shoved me against the wall and dragged me down, I never once fought back against him. I said my stuff is on the table can I please go back and grab it before you continue to kick me out. He refused violently, I grabbed onto the wall, not aggressively as I wanted to make my point clear, “I have no problem leaving once I get my things” He then said the words “do you want to be put to sleep” he then got me in choke hold, put my hands behind my back. Then got me up and brought me to the stairs to leave through the fire exit. I said to him, “I can walk just fine, it’s not problem.” He still continued to push me. I have no problem if I was horrible drunk, if I was causing trouble, if I was causing genuine harm but I wasn’t, this all happened because the bouncers needed some sort of power trip for validation. This came from my girlfriend having a sip of a drink not from Wetherspoons property. While we all understood it was a mistake, we don’t believe that treatment was warranted; Grace one of the staff in there was very kind, looked after our friend and chatted to us. She has the footage of what happened and also agreed that and in her our own words on camera “the way you guys were treated wasn’t warranted” I was completely sober so I can account for everything, I am going to be pursing this matter. As this treatment isn’t accept in anyway. From all of that and to then find out as my girlfriend was leaving, her friend was being grabbed by the bouncers, when she showed no force. To one of the bouncers calling my girlfriend a “slag, a knob” and much more.

In full, I would like to say this doesn’t fully showcase what Lime Kiln is like as I’ve been going here for nearly 2 years. I loved going here; the staff have always been lovely but they really need to change the bouncers, vet them properly and stop allowing people like that to go on a massive power trip to prove something to someone....

Extremely Disappointed with Recent Security Incident

Dear to whom this may concern ,

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and concern regarding a recent incident involving the security personnel at your establishment. It has come to my attention that my friends were subjected to a security assault, resulting in embarrassment and unnecessary injury.

The actions taken by the security staff are deeply troubling, as my friends did not resist in any way. To witness such an event unfold in a supposedly safe and welcoming environment raises serious questions about the safety measures in place at your establishment. This incident was not only unlawful but also created an unsafe atmosphere for patrons.

The impact of this experience on my friends has been distressing, and it has left a lasting negative impression on our perception of Wetherspoons. I strongly believe that such incidents undermine the reputation of your establishment and compromise the trust that patrons place in your commitment to their well-being.

Regrettably, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Wetherspoons to others given the recent events. I sincerely hope that you address this matter promptly and take the necessary steps to ensure the safety and security of all...
