All Bar One New Oxford Street — Restaurant in London

Not quite sure where to start! I reserved a table for 12:15pm for 5 of us as we were going to see The King and I at 2:30pm, this would give us plenty of time! I used the APP to order us a round of drinks which arrive at our table perfectly!

Then we ordered our food using the same APP on my phone (all 5 meals on the same APP), a little while later 5 lots of cutlery arrived. After quite a while we were delivered 2 meals and waited for the other 3. After a considerable amount of time no further meals were coming so we called the waiter over to tell him that one of the meals received was wrong and could he also take mine back as it was cold where we were all waiting to eat together.

The waiter took the food away, then came back asking if he'd taked our order, I replied saying no I'd ordered on the APP. He went away again and returned with the (I assume) Manager who said they didn't have our order and could I bring it up on the APP - there was nothing showing.

I was a little confused as used the APP in exactly the same way as I'd ordered the drinks, which arrived without an issue.

He then confirmed they'd not got our order, we were frustrated but he took our order manually and updated us that the chef would finish his previous order and then rush ours through, perfect!

A while later, our food arrived. Well, 4 of us got our food!!!!! We waiting a little for the other lady's food to come but after nearly 10mins we asked the waiter where it was. He went away and came back to apologise but it wasn't on the order sheet and he could get the chef to make it then. We declined that as at this point we only had about 15mins before we needed to leave for our show.

Although we weren't charged for any of our food the fact that the Manager came to us to confirm our APP order hadn't gone through, he was the one who took our order manually, he was clearly the on who missed off the final meal but not once did he come over and apologise for this, he just hid away.

This isn't the first issue I've had with All Bar One, but is certainly the worst I've experienced and it's definitely put me and my party off...

Unfortunately not a lot was great... We arrived at the restaurant/bar and was quickly seated to our table! When we arrived to the table(s) we had to very small tables not even pushed together to fit 6 of us on this was to include drinks and meals! So I have to say I wasn't too impressed by this . We then asked for table service to of which a lady had said 'Yes we can do this, let me just grab an Ipad'. She then disappear and we saw nothing but the staff running around... 40 minutes had gone by and not once had anyone come over! We were on a bit of a schedule and working in the industry we understood it was busy hence why we made sure to allow extra time. Nevertheless after waiting for 40 minutes we were getting hungry and thirsty too! We were not seen to by anyone so decided enough was enough, we were not prepared to wait any longer. When we left I spoke to the manager( the person who seated us!) And mentioned we were going to go else where due to having a tight schedule! We mentioned we had waited for a long time on table service. To of which the response was ' You can see we are busy, you should of gone to the bar to order.' We then explained we had asked for table service and he was like OK who told you that. Once we had told him , he just said ' OK bye.'

Speaking as a manager of a restaurant myself, I feel there was a lack of professionalism and gratitude towards their customers! We had come out for my sisters 21st birthday meal hoping for a nice meal and few drinks before heading out for the evening, to have had come out rather frustrated and hungry! We have never been to an All bar one before so thought it would be the best place to try only to be leaving...

It was a Friday night just gone 11pm when a bunch of us from work strolled into All Bar One for a few drinks. I was first up at the bar and ordered a double Jack Daniels with Coke. What a received was anything but Jack Daniels. It was some kind of watered down coke without the Jack Daniels. I said to the young lady that served me that this isn’t Jack Daniels but she kept insisting it was. She clearly tried to pass off another drink as mine whilst insulting my intelligence in the process. My guess it was probably some unwanted drink from a previous customer which had been sitting behind the bar for hours. Hence why the coke also tasted flat! Now I’ve been drinking Jack Daniels for decades, and we had all rocked up at the bar stone cold sober so I was hardly mistaken. I asked the bar staff to taste the drink themselves and the lady reluctantly made me a new drink which was correct. However the initial drink and the shocking service received had left a bitter taste in my mouth. I asked to speak to the manager in which she replied “I am the manager”. I asked for her name but she refused. Moments later she comes over to our table and hands me a business card saying if I wish to make a complaint their contact details are on the card. We chose to go to All Bar One because of previous good experiences and the fact that it’s close to our workplace, but after the appalling service me and some of my colleagues received I highly doubt we’ll be choosing to come here again.
