RIP OFF I had a similar experience as one reviewer who go ripped off on the shisha. I was with a friend and on our bill they had added manually in blue ink pen £25 for our shisha on top of the actual bill. Sensing we were being ripped off I went inside and asked the older guy at the till (who looked like the boss of the place) some explanations about the price of the shisha. When suddenly the waiter who brought us the bill (and served the shisha) shows up behind and both him and the boss guy start to get really agitated and start raising their voice and talk in some arabic language really loudly. Since we did not understand what they were saying we thought better pay and go, which we did promptly. With further reflection though I came to the conclusion that they ripped us off because somehow they wanted to make sure we don't come back. But why I don't know since we were polite and did not bother anyone. Or perhaps it is just that they rip off the new customers as they prefer the regular ones (who no doubt don't pay £25 for their shisha). Either way my advice is don't bother trying to find out as it's not worth the bother (and your money). Quality wise the wraps tasted like way too much garlic and the shisha was way too harsh! This was the low point in an otherwise great night out in...
Read moreIn the beginning, we got some friendly service whilst being seated outside.
We unfortunately got a server who wasn't happy to serve us, not sure why. He wasn't friendly, seemed annoyed and put one of the meals on top of another plate instead of making space.
The entire experience was something I had to laugh about with my guests from overseas, whom I had brought here because it was a halal restaurant in the area, and the other halal restaurant we were meant to go to was a bit farther away and my disabled guest couldn't walk the extra 5 minutes.
Another staff member spent the entire time smoking from the sheesha pipe at the entrance 😂
The food itself was really good and hygienic, and presentation was good. Just like in the other photos.
Please note that this isn't an accessible restaurant for people with physical disabilities or using wheelchairs.
The toilets are in the basement and you have to walk down and up very steep stairs.
Toilet was clean enough and had soap, paper towels and toilet paper.
I wouldn't go again just because of the poor service we got yesterday- not blaming anyone as it happens quite a...
Read moreI have never written a single bad review of a restaurant that I can remember. But my experience at this place was so unprofessional that I felt compelled to post this review.
I ordered a shawarma, and must have stood there for a good ten minutes which is okay, they were busy. Suddenly I was given a sandwich that was "mine", yet I was NEVER asked what I wanted as salads/condiments. So that caught me by surprise. When I was confused and told the manager that I had never said what I wanted or didn't want in my wrap, he made me out to be the one in the wrong and commented that he has never heard such a complaint.
In all my years going to all kinds of sandwich shops, I have never not been consulted about what I wanted/didn't want in my sandwich and then mocked when I raised the issue.
I thankfully got a refund, but I would never go back or recommend this place because their approach towards customers. Very strange to...
