Bebere Pizzeria: A Hidden Gem on Tottenham Court Road
Just had the most incredible dining experience at Bebere Pizzeria on Tottenham Court Road! This place is absolutely a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic pizza with a modern twist in central London.
From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting - perfect mood lighting, just the right level of bustling energy, and the delicious aroma of wood-fired pizzas filling the air.
The star of our evening was undoubtedly Alex, our waiter. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, but it was his genuine enthusiasm and personalized recommendations that made our experience exceptional. He suggested a perfect wine pairing for our pizzas and even remembered my dietary preferences from a casual comment I made early in the evening. That kind of attentive service is increasingly rare these days!
The pizza itself was divine - thin, crispy crust with that perfect char from the wood-fired oven, and toppings that were clearly fresh and high-quality. Their signature dough has a complexity of flavor that elevates even the simplest margherita to something special.
Prices were reasonable for the quality, and portions were generous. The dessert menu is small but perfectly formed - the tiramisu was one of the best I've had in London.
If you're looking for an authentic pizza experience with exceptional service (ask for Alex!), Bebere Pizzeria should be at the top of your list. I'm already planning my next...
Read moreI ate at Berbere Tottenham Court this evening. I do not recommend this establishment. Restaurants like this can survive due to location. The Tottenham Court location certainly provides lots of customers due to location. Victims. And it can probably survive due to location alone. Mostly unwitting tourists. Not on the restaurant’s food and service. I was told by the reception person it was the best pizza in London. It was terrible. Truly. After ordering and paying up front (I was sitting outside in a very busy area) I waited for my food. When I mentioned I’d been waiting for 25 minutes, my salad and pizza arrived very quickly and at the same time. This is amateur level service. The pizza was burned. Black. The underside was truly a joke. They took the pizza back and quickly gave another. It was a margarita there were three half leaves of basil. I was stunned as I looked at it. It was basically a tomatoe sauce pizza. This is the best?? LOL. You couldn’t get more spars w the cheese. And the crust? Gritty. Truly a joke pizza. When the waitress asked how the pizza had been I told her not good. I was courteous. She took offence. She took it personally. I finished my wine and left. I would not eat here. I do not in any way recommend spending any money at Berbere. I hope the owners read this review. On the menu they go out of their way to describe about how good it all...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Berberè Pizzeria in Tottenham, and I can confidently say it was one of the best pizza I’ve had in London. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and the smell of freshly baked pizza set the stage for an unforgettable evening.
I would like to mention Alex, who provided a very good service throughout our visit. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had a fantastic time.
Now, onto the food – wow! The pizzas are truly in a league of their own. The dough is light, airy, and perfectly cooked, with a delightful balance of chewiness and crispness. The toppings were fresh, flavorful, and the „pizza Natale” was something I’ve never tried before, it brought me back to Italy!
The ambiance is cozy yet vibrant, making it a great spot for everything from casual dinners to special occasions.
