Read moreYesterday, me and my Bestia, we go on mission — hungry like two wolves after zialabista disco-polo concert. Our stomachs were making music and brains saying only one word: kebab.
We find this place, Cleopatra Kebab Shop. I tell Bestia, “Stara, this look little fancy, maybe too fancy for two Polish legends like us.” But Bestia, just say, “Meat don’t care about fancy, it care about destiny.” So we go in.
Immediately, smell hit us — garlic, grilled meat, maybe little dreams of Cleopatra herself. Bestia look at me like she see holy vision. She whisper, “Stara… if this kebab not good, I move back to Rzeszow.”
We order two XL kebabs — because we not cowards. Man behind counter ask, “You want spicy?” I say, “Please, my blood already 60% garlic sauce.”
When kebab come — my God. It so big, it need building permit. Meat juicy, bread soft, sauce dripping like poetry. First bite? Boom! I see stars, I see my childhood, I see Babcia saying, “Eat more, you too skinny.”
Bestia take bite and go silent for minute. Then she say, in low voice: “This kebab… it taste like victory.”
We sit there, two Polish gladiators, kebab juice on hands, faces shiny like butter. We nod. No words needed. Cleopatra deliver divine justice.
When we finish, I try stand up — can’t. Full tank. I tell Bestia, “Stara they should give medal with kebab.” He She say, “No medal. We already heroes.”
10/10. If you go Cleopatra Kebab Shop — bring empty stomach, strong heart, and maybe towel for...
Read moreCame in for lunch with my friend. I ordered Moussaka because i wasnt very hungry. And let me tell you that was NOT Moussaka. It had whole garlic cloves that were Half raw that i picked out. The cloves still had the dirty ends on too. The aubergine was cooked so much just the skin was left same with the tomato. There was no potato either ans it was SWIMMING with oil.
The bowl was boiling hot but the food was cold. I had to ask them to heat it up. It was OBVIOUSLY microwaved. When my food came i was abit confused by its presentation as its usually served on a plate. Not a bowl. I ate some of it since i paid for it. They still charged me for food that was inedible. The waitress was nice though. I told her its not moussaka at all and that it shouldnt be coming from a microwave. She looked abit shocked that i knew it was microwaved. She didnt argue what i said.. she knew and felt bad. Nice person dealing with the problems unfortunately
My friend really enjoyed her burger and chips though the plate was super clean no oil at all she was abit annoyed that she was given a can of coke with no glass. Her portion was like a kids size just a handful of of chips. And a small burger.
The table opposite us went up 6 times to complain. I was quite annoyed that we were expected to pay for the "moussaka" since more than half of it was left and im now sick from it.
Edit: i cant even keep water down.
Edit: its been 2 days and im still sick. Im going to...
