Super impressed to find this little haven in London! The food was tasty, hearty, and promptly served- for a very reasonable price, too. Upon entry, we were greeted by a warm sense of hospitality that carried throughout our visit. I didn't get her name, but we were pleasantly surprised by her genial disposition and attentive service. I took my parents here, and even though they are usually quite particular, there were no faults to be found; in fact they were very complimentary thereafter, and would love to revisit. There is a charming, cosy ambience, which makes for a delightful dining experience, especially when seated by one of the tables at the window. If it wasn't so cool that day, there's lovely seating outside which captures the afternoon sunlight wonderfully, as well. I loved the laid-back, familiar vibe, which I could definitely see becoming a neighbourhood favourite by locals in the area. This cafe may indeed become our new go-to eatery when in...
Read moreAs I've been staying with my brother for a couple of days, I needed a quick breakfast London. Even though I went in the afternoon, I could still order food from the breakfast menu which was nice. I noticed everyone else was ordering a full English as it was the day after new years day. The full English was fairly nice, not too high expectations as it cost less than £5. While it was nice it came with tea of coffee, I had to pay extra for hot chocolate which was a little annoying so I stuff with the tea. The food tasted very average, and the first slice of bread they gave me was burnt. The toilet facilities were okay but the lock was in very poor condition and needs to be repaired. Overall I was happy with the experience and would recommend to anyone who wants a...
Read moreI had a full English breakfast. What makes a good breakfast is quality ingredients cooked properly. Sadly my breakfast was lacking, rather than a nice Cumberland sausage for example I had a cheap 3p Iceland sausage, & my fried mushrooms should be cooked in butter, but they tasted like they were watery and cooked in vinegar, my hash brown tasted like it was either overcooked or reheated. The bacon I asked for it to be crispy, but it was just cooked as normal. The other breakfast we ordered was poached eggs on toast, & again it was ok but lacking, the egg was put wet on the toast, thus making it soggy. (Rather than strained properly first) A breakfast doesn’t need to be expensive to taste good, use good quality ingredients (sausages/wholemeal...
