We chose Crudo because we love the freshness and vibrancy of Peruvian cuisine, and the positive reviews had us looking forward to a great experience. Unfortunately, the meal didn’t live up to our expectations.
Most of the dishes lacked flavour—either bland or poorly seasoned. In some cases, you could even feel the gritty texture of the spices. The octopus was completely tasteless, and the mixed ceviche lacked the bright acidity and heat we expected—there was no noticeable lime or chilli, and it was served with unripe, flavourless avocado. The tuna tostada had not been seasoned at all, and the guacamole and chips were underwhelming, especially at this price point—store-bought chips rather than homemade felt like a letdown.
The pork belly bites were the standout—they were genuinely delicious and well-prepared.
On the positive side, the pisco sours were excellent and the service was friendly and attentive, which we appreciated.
Overall, if you're a foodie or looking for a flavoursome dining experience, Crudo may not hit the mark—especially at £75 per person. For that price, the food should be much more refined. If it were more affordable, it might work as a quick casual bite, but as it stands, we left...
Read moreOur visit to this restaurant was nothing short of disappointing. From the outset, things went wrong. The cocktails for our group of six were served in mismatched glasses, with only one of us receiving a proper cocktail glass. This inconsistency made the drinks look unappealing and set a negative tone for the evening. The reason they have non proper.
Things didn’t improve from there. Several items we ordered were missing, but we weren't informed about this until much later. The portions were extremely small, leaving us still hungry. When we tried to order more, the waiter informed us that the kitchen had closed—a detail that should have been communicated earlier.
The waiter’s lack of professionalism was evident throughout. They seemed unfamiliar with the menu and had no idea about the cooking times for our meals. To top it all off, the dessert was a complete letdown, adding to our frustration.
Overall, this was a thoroughly disappointing experience. The service was poor, the portions were tiny, and the entire meal felt like a waste of money. We won’t...
Read moreThis was the best restaurant experience I've had in London, hands down.
We were hosted by Michael, whose passion for the restaurant and the food was very apparent from the get-go.
We ordered the tasting menu, which was simply incredible value for what we got. Everything tasted really fresh, and the sauces were out of this world. Every bite was an explosion of flavour. My only criticism is that we need more rice or bread to mop up those sauces (Michael did give us an extra portion of rice, which was so kind). The desserts were so good that I was willing to propose to all three chefs by the end of the night.
You know when you sometimes have the kind of food and restaurant experience that just warms your soul right up on a chilly, dark fall evening? This was that kind of experience. I came home last night and slept twelve hours after. I'm definitely...
