⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Must-See Show in London – Matilda the Musical is Pure Magic!

If you're looking for a spectacular theatre experience in London, Matilda the Musical at the Cambridge Theatre is an absolute must-see! Based on Roald Dahl’s beloved book, this award-winning production by the Royal Shakespeare Company is a dazzling, heartwarming, and brilliantly performed show that delights audiences of all ages.

🎭 Outstanding Performances The young cast is nothing short of extraordinary. The children playing Matilda, her classmates, and the notorious Trunchbull bring so much energy, talent, and charisma to the stage. Matilda’s intelligence, bravery, and wit shine through, while Miss Trunchbull’s over-the-top villainy is both hilarious and terrifying. The adult cast members, including the kind-hearted Miss Honey, add depth and emotion to the story.

🎶 Unforgettable Music & Choreography The songs by Tim Minchin are clever, catchy, and full of wit. Tracks like "Revolting Children," "When I Grow Up," and "Naughty" will stay in your head long after the show. The choreography is dynamic and perfectly executed, with the young performers delivering high-energy dance numbers that leave the audience in awe.

🎪 Spectacular Set Design & Effects The Cambridge Theatre provides an intimate yet grand setting, and the stage design is a visual treat. From the towering stacks of books to the clever use of lighting and props, every detail enhances the storytelling. The swings in "When I Grow Up" and the gravity-defying tricks in "Bruce" are particularly breathtaking.

💡 Why Use Google Maps for Booking? Easy Directions: The theatre is perfectly located in the West End, and Google Maps makes it simple to navigate via tube, bus, or foot. Reviews & Photos: Check out real audience experiences and photos before booking. Nearby Eateries: Discover great pre- or post-show dining spots with Google’s restaurant recommendations.

Final Verdict: Matilda the Musical is a triumph—funny, touching, and wildly entertaining. Whether you're a fan of the book or new to the story, this show will leave you inspired and full of joy. 5/5 stars – a West End gem!

📌 Pro Tip: Book in advance, as tickets sell out fast! And don’t forget to leave your own review on Google Maps to help future theatregoers. 🎟️✨

Great show, best view from the gran circle!

I recently had the absolute pleasure of seeing Matilda the Musical at the Cambridge Theatre, and I can confidently say it was one of the most magical evenings I’ve had in London. Based on Roald Dahl’s classic story, the production completely exceeded my expectations.

The performance was nothing short of brilliant. The young actress playing Matilda was incredible—so much talent in such a small package! And don’t even get me started on Miss Trunchbull; the actor’s portrayal was both hilarious and terrifying, keeping the audience entertained throughout.

Tim Minchin's music was a real highlight for me. Songs like When I Grow Up and Revolting Children were catchy, heartfelt, and clever. I found myself humming them on the way home. The choreography and staging were equally stunning, with imaginative sets and lighting that brought the whimsical world of Matilda to life.

What really stood out was how much heart this show had. It was funny, touching, and empowering—a great mix for all ages. Whether you're visiting London or you live here like me, I can’t recommend Matilda the Musical enough. It’s a perfect reminder of how clever storytelling and creativity can leave you feeling inspired. Five...

The musical itself was fine, but I've seen much better productions in the west end. But what I was most disappointed by is the lack of care from the ushers towards people being disruptive and talking throughout. Not children, that's completely understandable, but parents talking full volume throughout the show. The ushers had no issue with scolding people filming and taking photos, rightfully so, but frankly, as an audience member who paid a lot of money for tickets, I'd rather they told disruptive people to be quiet instead of focusing on the photography - shows whose interests matter more. Do better, please! Furthermore, I was disappointed by all the staff throughout the theatre. From the rude and impatient security on the door, multiple bag and ticket checks - ridiculous. To the rude staff member at the main desk who served a customer ahead of me and then proceeded to hold a long conversation whilst I was waiting patiently behind during the interval? Incredibly rude, I ended up walking away empty handed so well done to you! Don't waste your time with it, completely...

1st of all well done to everyone involved including the crews behind the scenes and characters. Had an amazing time and amazing view. Sat in Q15 and Q16 which previously I viewed the theatre as large but this is the back which I like better than large theatres as you can hear what is happening. I was proved incorrect quickly as I thought sound and lighting would be loud/ disruptive but in no way did they affect the performance. I learnt lots from watching this performance as preparing for the costumes in our school musical Oliver in 2025. This helped me a lot. Just a star down due to noise and movement from other people watching and people being let in when action occurred when they were late. Thanks for an awesome performance today, Izzy!
