This is quite simply the best coffee shop in London. I ask you, what do you look for in a coffee? Independence? Bewildering coffee? A barista that texts you on your birthday? A place that is littered with fairy lights in the colder darker days of a Londonian winter? Well I give this place a star for every one of those boxes ticked. Find me another place that will alter the dimensions of historic coffee art by accepting orders for lattecinos, flatecinnos and tuna melt paninis with a 8.4/10 spice level? Then message me… I’ll wait to not hear from you. Love D1, love Jonny, love the beans. Visit, then leave content.

D1 coffee shop is by far the best coffee shop in town! I was at D1 last Saturday and I absolutely loved it! I was served by Johnny who is so friendly and professional and he made me such an amazing latte. I cannot thank Johnny enough for the great service and attention to detail. It was such a great experience so I went back today and everything was a spot on!(as usual) Thank you Johnny once again and will see you again soon 🙂

D1 is an amazing independent coffee shop! The team here are wonderful, so friendly and accommodating and always with a smile on their faces. Nothing is ever too much, and the team will go out of their way to make sure your experience is perfect. The coffee is delicious, and always made with grace and speed! The food is amazing - particularly the millionaire shortbread! Without a doubt my favourite coffee shop!

Ever since I moved to Maida Vale, I always moaned that there is no good coffee shop in this area of London. Recently a friend told me, that she discovered a little place that looked like a decent coffee shop, just one or two minutes away from where I live.

As soon as I could, I walked down and was surprised. What could be nicer than a sweet voice whispering French lyrics into your ears? Not that much, I would say. So before I knew it, the place already scored for the music.

The nice little coffee shop sells Monmouth coffee, freshly made sandwiches and sweet treats. The interior is light, warm and beautiful.

Not only the location and the products are great, but the staff are also very friendly.

D1 Coffee is kind of what I was looking for in this area. It's great to have a quality coffee shop just around the corner.

Right now, I can only go there on Saturdays, but they said that they will probably open on Sundays, and in Summer they might open longer than 5pm. That is just one more reason why I cannot wait for the...

New favourite place here! A tiny hidden gem, one of those authentic places you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with the owner, instead of trying to reach him by emails or whatever. The coffee they prepare here may be the reason people are addicted to it. In my opinion coffee isn't supposed be neither too sweet nor too bitter. Here, they create the perfect balance between that two and it makes me want to order another cup.

D1 also has breakfast like baked goodies and sandwiches. I'm trying to quit the sweets, so I won't talk about the cakes and desserts they had. Prices are great and for about £2 you get to drink quality coffee rather than paying double the price for shitty coffee. This is most certainly a new...

We were slightly disappointed with my partner coming back here after a year. They have changed the menu, we missed the avocado sandwich. We ordered captées sandwich and the ingredients were fine but the sandwich had no taste it wasn’t properly seasoned (as it used to before). Before they used to put olive oil with pepper and salt on the side as a dip, now they don’t anymore and we really missed that. Also we ordered two caramel lattes and haven’t received the caramel at all. They also barely allowed me to use the toilet after begging them, which was unnecessary in the past. It was a move place for us to come for even from far for a special day breakfast but I think this was the last...
