I was having dinner with my partner and our friends at the restaurant near Tower Bridge this evening and it was not a very good experience at all. I’ve literally just got off the phone to NHS Advice to discuss whether I’m in need of hospital treatment or not. The advice I received from calling 111 was to take regular pain killers for the evening. Not to burst my blisters. Go see my GP as soon as possible if things don’t worsen over night. If pain affects breathing or swallowing, go to A&E. Great. Just what we want when we head out for dinner! We were a party of four people and although the menu looked great, the staff quality lets the place down. It was a painfully long time to get their attention to order something as simple as a drink. There were four staff waiting in a not excessively busy restaurant but they just never looked in our direction. One of our guests literally had to stand and wave both arms just to get some attention so we could order something! I ordered the dim sum, all of them except the custard one. When they finally arrived they were impossible to eat because they were over cooked, over steamed and literally turned to slop as soon as I tried to pick one with my chopsticks. I had to send them back to the kitchen. The table was booked for 7pm. By almost 8:30pm I was super starving and still awaiting the dim sum. The rest of our party couldn’t eat their mains until I had had my starter because that’s just being polite. So in a nutshell, our party was ruined by the poor service quality and the poor food quality and that’s before we even got to order the mains! After a couple of complaints to the staff about how long the dim sum was going to be it finally arrived. It was put on the table. Not a word was said to explain what it was and most importantly, how hot it was. I tried to eat one and it fell apart immediately. I was so hungry and I wasn’t prepared to wait even longer for the kitchen to learn how to make dim sum and when to send it to the table and to remind the staff to tell the guests that the food is hotter than lava! I picked up the second piece and it didnt fall apart until it was just millimetres from my mouth, as we were at the dinner table I couldn’t spit it out, so had to swallow it. MY GOOOOOOOOOD!!! 🔥 It was incredibly hot. Boiling water temperature it felt like. I felt it burning my mouth and the inside of my throat and I felt it hit my stomach it was that hot. I immediately called for the attention of the manager. He’s a nice guy but he is ABSOLUTELY useless at his job. I told him I was experiencing extreme pain because of the food the kitchen just served me. I told him my mouth and my throat felt scorched and blistered. I told him I am in agonising pain. So much so that I could eat another bite of food despite me having no lunch and having worked all day. He didn’t offer me first aid. He didn’t ask me if I needed an ambulance. He didn’t asked me what could he do to help me feel better. He didn’t give me a persons work email address. He didn’t seem to know what he was apologising for! He just kept saying over and over”sorry sorry sorry”. I told him that this was not a sorry situation, it was not a time to be saying sorry, it was time to jump into action and fix this situation immediately. He is useless! I’ve managed businesses before. I’ve owned businesses before. I was even a chef who made dim sum. I know what should have happened in that situation and NONE of what was supposed to happen happened. I wasn’t cared for. It didn’t matter to your manager that a dinner guest on his shift has been internally scorched with burns and blisters. He was kind enough to bring the bill. He REALLY offended me when he “offered” to discount my food from the bill. That made me so angry I had to physically leave the restaurant! I was trying my hardest to explain to him the importance of advising his staff to advise the guests that the food they are about to put in their mouths is slightly cooler than the sun, so please be careful!!! DINERS BEWARE!

Never have I ever experienced such a disappointing display of poor customer service from waiting staff in a restaurant. It completely overshadowed what had been a lovely day out in London. Something as simple as asking for a few extra glasses of tap water seemed like too much effort. The waitress we dealt with was dismissive, and her attitude quickly turned hostile. Matters escalated further when our group asked to split the bill equally between three couples—a very common and reasonable request. Instead of handling it professionally, she became argumentative and confrontational. Why would any customer want to experience that? A restaurant should provide good service, not leave its guests feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Excellent Chinese restaurant at a great location. We really enjoyed the two hand pulled noodle dishes we tried, pork biang biang with wide noodles and chicken chilli with thin noodles, both were tasty, large portions and just the right amount of heat from the chilli. For those of you who like it hot and spicy I would suggest asking for it when you order, otherwise these are good mid heat dishes. The rest of the food on the menu looked really tempting, especially the dim sum, we will come back to try it. The location itself is brilliant, very central but in a quiet spot, with outdoor seating which is under cover. The service is friendly, quick and the restaurant is extremely clean. Highly recommended

We had a great experience here. We'd initially thought that the 4.8 stars were paid reviews but it's evident that this place is deserving of such a great score.

The atmosphere is impeccable. You get a view of Tower Hill and the air-conditioning was very strong - a rarity in London and a great respite in the summer. Seating was comfortable and spacious.

Service was top-notch. Servers were chatty, friendly, and extremely attentive. Not a chopstick out of place.

Food was lovely as well. I'd taken away one star very reluctantly because I felt the traditional liangpi was slightly worse than that found in its sister restaurant, Master Wei's in Central London. However, the Qishan noodles were delightful - the pork was stewed tender and flavourful and the fresh handpulled noodles toothsome with a great wheat-y taste. The traditional xi'an dumplings with pork and cabbage were a favourite as well. Thin skin with generous and well-seasoned filling.

The prices are very fair - especially for the location, service, and quality of food.

Please do yourself a favour and dine here. It upsets me to see the chains surrounding this place full and bustling for what I know is subpar food at an...

30/01/2025 - Disappointed ! Came here 2 weeks ago and it was fantastic. I left my initial review below. But now I came back and the noodles were not to the same standard 2 weeks ago. Picture attached. There were much less meat in the noodles. 2 LEAVES of pakchoy only when before was 2 halves. And the sauce was watery!!! it was not enjoyable. It is not bad but nothing to do with the first time. I will not come back. It is not consistent with the meals. Also when we came first time they said they have lunch menu during the week. It is not true. It is the same menu/prices during the week.

18/01/2025 Fantastic place. Atmosphere so relax. Nice vibe. Service perfect. Lovely people and the food WOW. We had beef burger (it is a starter. it is not a burger you are thinking of, just a flat bread with amazing beefy sauce). For mains we had the famous BIANGBIANG (beef) was very good. The noodle is a special noodle made here in a special way , so good tasty, consistency of the noodle just perfect. And the sauce combination just made it special. I will be back for sure. If anyone asks me now what is your favourite Chinese restaurant in London Dream Xi’an is my...
