Small wine bar near st pauls. Lovely atmosphere for a catch-up with friends or colleagues. Only slight issue was the background music was a little too loud so it was a bit hard to hear each other though nothing major. Ordered 2 of the specials, the beeg cheek and the ... bird (forgot the name). Both were really nice! the bird dish came with a polenta mash which was really nice, a lot nicer than expected. The beef cheek was a bit drier than I liked so it's not a dish I'd order again but if you enjoy your meat lean, then this would be nice as its very tender and you can really taste the beef in it. Ordered a cranberry juice and the amount I received was really less.. for the price you pay, you'd normally expect at least 250ml but I think I only got around 100-150ml and half of it was ice.

I came here with my partner for dinner. We shared the carpaccio to start which was very tasy and fresh. The portion was perfect for sharing with plenty on the plate. For mains we both had the Devon white crab pasta. Beautiful plate of pasta, cooked to perfection. It had a nice tomato, creamy, bisque like sauce and I would definitely recommend this dish if you go here. We both had cocktails thay were well made with nice sharp flavours and I had decent americano after dinner. Overall, I would absolutely come back, next time I am in London, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice but casual spot for an authentic Otalian dinner!!

Lovely place to spend the evening with quick and attentive service (one drink got entirely forgotten but that’s probably due to it getting so busy) with a great selection of filling food to share you really don’t need a lot and the price is worth it. It’s definitely somewhere I’ll come back to, the ambience was so calming and as someone with anxiety (general and social) places that really do add to a better state of mind make coming out that much more enjoyable. And it’s only a short walk to St Paul’s so a hygge evening followed by a quiet walk in a safe place really makes for a midweek post work treat.

Our recent dining experience was a culinary masterpiece from start to finish. A glass of Primitivo paired with Bruschetta rustica, Delizie di burrata, and Crispy polenta with creamy mushrooms & thyme set the stage for a remarkable evening.

The standout was the Crispy polenta, a delightful blend of textures and flavors that showcased the chef's expertise. The panna cotta dessert was a sublime conclusion, leaving a lasting impression.

Yet, what truly elevated the night was Emanuele's impeccable service. His warm welcome and insightful recommendations added a personal touch, making us feel like cherished guests. For those seeking a blend of exquisite dishes and top-notch hospitality, this establishment is a must-visit. It's more than a restaurant; it's a...

A bit lost in the middle of the salt cave, rule n 1 of a good chef is to taste dishes before serving them. Let’s start from the positive side:

  1. excellent staff 5/5
  2. good location 4/5
  3. good drinks 4/5 (spritz, wine, spirits)
  4. good pasta 4/5 (pesto and nduja)
  5. value for money 3/5

So among starters cod was lacking salt whereas prosciutto crocchette were too salty.

Cheeseboard nothing really special, what I found a bit counterintuitive/unacceptable is that bread should be paid separately. Boards are coming with bread and pickles nearly everywhere in the world.

Would I go there again? Probably yes, but I will focus just on mains and drinks skipping all the remaining part of the menu. Maybe I can notch up by 1...
