Disrespectful and racist.
Whilst waiting to be seated three staff made eye contact with us and proceeded to attend to other customers. After waiting 15mins, me and my friend asked to be seated outside and the lady (1st waiter, lady in the picture - I’ve taken from a insta post) said there are no seats, so we pointed to the two seats that were available then she said sit there and order through the QR code, so we sat and looked at the menu through the QR code which then we realised you can’t order through the QR code, it’s only the menu.
We then waited another 10/15mins for a waiter (2nd waiter) to take our order, my friend ordered margarita pizza but I said come back for me as I couldn’t decide between the pasta or pizza. He said sure then we realised our table was very dirty and at the edge of the table was a whole load of what looked like ferrero rocher melted. So, we asked another waiter (3rd waiter) if the table can be cleaned please, he said sure, I’ll be back. So, we waited another 10mins and we saw the 2nd waiter and we asked if I can make my order now and how long my friends will take and he said to my friend in a very rude manner (huffing and looking confused) that he didn’t take her order as I didn’t make mine, so we said that’s fine, I ordered spicy pizza with pomegranate iced tea and my friend said same order with a drink. Once our order was taken we then went to ask can the table be cleaned please, he just said okay. We then waited 20mins as we was waiting we realised there was middle eastern couple waiting to be seated and they was seated within 3mins and their table was cleaned as they was waiting at their table. And that was the final straw.
We knew we were being racially profiled right at the beginning but I thought surely not, it’s Marble Arch. I looked around it was just me and my friend that were black there at the time. So, once the waiter who is the 1st waiter we saw finished cleaning, I said excuse me we asked our table to be cleaned and have waited for the last 20mins but why is it as soon as those couples came, they was seated with a clean table and order ready to be taken. She then proceeds to not hear a word of what I’m saying just starts to spray our table and wipe with a cloth then goes, I’ve cleaned it now and I said excuse me? Because I could see the Ferro rocher mark still there. She then goes on to say you didn’t ask me and I respond I’ve asked two of your colleagues and you guys are a team. Then proceeds to continue spraying not hearing a word I’m saying, so I said cancel our order, we are leaving. No apologies by any of them.
If you want to wait a long time, be disrespected and racially profiled - Feya...
Read moreI've not visited a Feya cafe before but have heard mixed reviews, regardless I wanted to try it out anyways.
On first impression, the decor was BEAUTIFUL and the ambience was nice, chilled, layed back and comfy.
I had made a reservation and there were a few empty tables so no problem. Ordered our drinks and mains, drinks ordered were the pistachio latte and ( I ordered) a Spanish latte. No spoons were given so had to ask for them - they didn't have any so gave us little forks instead to mix the condensed milk at the bottom. Thought this would have been a standard thing to do, otherwise I would be paying £7.50 for just a normal coffee, so already minus a point.
Once mains came, they did look pretty needless to say. I had the waffle with added salmon, very generous with amount of salmon compared to other places I must say. The poached egg was overcooked so it didn't ooze out like you'd expect it to. Other than that there's nothing special about the dish apart from a pink waffle and some pretty flowers. For about £17/£18, it's not worth it.
The desserts looked really nice so I had ordered the pistachio donut, friend ordered the almond donut. As soon as we ordered, the waitress had put them on plates and put them ontop of the glass cabinet they were stored in and walked off, 10-15 minutes later, they were still say there so I had to ask for them to be served. No dessert forks were offered, luckily there were extra sets of knifes and forks on the table so we used them instead. My one lacked pistachio flavour, although texture was nice. The almond one tasted way better but was a bit stale. I also noticed a couple fruit flies in the cabinet and the waiter/ waitress just used their bare hands to pick them up... Don't actually know the price of this ( probably about £5-7) as there are no prices anywhere and i wasn't given a receipt, or even ordered one - only for the confirmation of payment on card machine.
Overall, go at least once to experience the nice interior decor and the bad service and pretty food, but I wouldn't really recommend coming here unless you have A LOT of time on your hands and you have extra money you want to spend.
It is a shame about the service and the food as there...
Read moreThis place was the worst experience you can have in the area. We had a reservation for 4 We ordered mains (after a looong wait maybe half an hour or more while no one came to our table, we had to get up ourselves). Then they brought chicken burger instead of salmon😐the first time they brought it we did say that’s not for us. But visibly they didn’t bother and brought it back to us again 3more times every time a new staff. After being convinced they left for about 15minutes and someone came to ask if everything is alright. I did say no because 3of us had their food but mine is not here yet and all the food got cold. The staff member went to check and came back after again a long time to say it will be ready in 7 minutes. IT WAS SO INTERESTING that one of the male staff tried to convince us that we showed the wrong item on the menu (which we didn’t even point at it we told them the foods we wanted) that was the time I got so angry. At least they could have accepted the mistake. We did start and my food didn’t come after they all finished. I even wanted to cancel. The food came the quality was good to be fair and I ate all the food alone. After that we wanted to order coffees and ice cream with mango and cheesecake. Obviously no staff came to us again and we sat there for some time then we had to get up and tell them to come again. They brought half of the desserts again and the rest of it took a while again which I really don’t understand, when it’s ready sitting in the glass thingi why should it take ages. VERY DISGUSTING toilet very dirty restaurant and the whole experience was horrible. At the end we asked for the bill(which again no one was coming to us and we had to get up again😂) even the place was dead empty I would have understood if they were busy. We clearly mentioned we are not happy and they even didn’t bother to remove the service charge which we really didn’t mind that we paid for it but this was the most disrespectful and disappointing experience I had. The only thing that was nice was the coffee late with the tree art which believe me you can get from any place without being...
