I'm sorry I can't give 0 stars. This review is for the Superdrug in Marble Arch/Oxford Street. You enter in a very busy place where you can't read and choose the products in peace because people are elbowing each other. The staff stares at you and follows you around the shop. I hate to be stared at while I'm trying to decide which products are best for my breakouts or if I want period pads with or without wings. It just makes SO uncomfortable and makes me want to leave straight away. I've been approached by a couple of staff members at different times - whilst I couldn't even hear them because I was using my earbuds in the attempt to not to become deaf from the noise in the shop - asking me to put my one single small product (that I was holding in my hand) into the basket. I really hate that, like I am a grown-up, I know when I need a basket thank you. I declined twice I felt like I was getting forced to use it.
"Your shoplifting issue does NOT constitute a problem for me and it should never ever impact my shopping experience which, by the way, has been AWFUL."
They did their absolute best to ruin it and as if this wasn't enough, I went to the till and the person who served me didn't know what "unopened" or "brand new" meant, he kept looking at me and saying "it's 4.99! It's 4.99! It's 4.99!" like a broken record! I was puzzled and confused on how people who can't speak a word of English are put to work at the till in Oxford Street. I left upset and swore to myself to never set my foot in that shop ever again and I hope lots of other customers are going to read my review and be prepared in case they decide to venture in this awful place.
Ps the choice of products is very POOR considering the location of the shop, and the skincare shelves organisation and position is crazy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery unprofessional, rude and unknowledgeable staff. Poor social distancing practice and staff not wearing face masks. I went to 508-520 Oxford street /Marble Arch store(05/10/2020) yesterday afternoon to buy a few items and I asked one of the shop assistants (a lady wearing hijab) for advice on some of their products. She asked her colleagues where those products are and despite their directions she still could not find them. I eventually said I will try different products then. The whole time I was in the store that lady was walking behind me staring at me. For only a very limited time I was asked three times if I wanted a basket. I refused one each time as I only wanted to get a few products and most of all I did not want to touch unnecessary stuff. I very quickly made my decision what to buy as I could not wait to get out and the lady with the hijab who was still staring at me asked how I will pay for this. I explained I will go to the till to pay for it. When the payment was completed the lady at the till said on her microphone headset āeverything is okā. I was still staying at the till putting my items in the bag while she asked the next customer to come and I was still there that person had to come very close to me despite the government recommendations on social distancing. Furthermore, I did not see any of the staff wearing face masks. This whole experience was so humiliating and intimidating, absolute awful. I will defiantly not go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was trying to buy superdrug night peeling in this shop. The product label clearly stated its almost half price from 8.49 ( around) to 4.49. When I got to the cashier he said they did give me the discount of 4.45 and the final price is 8.45!. I did tell him it says something different there and it clearly states that members price is 4.45. I did say he's mistaken but he became very rude so I said I dnt want the product. I took the rest of my staff and went to take the photo of the label. I came back to the cashier and shown it to him. He started to scream at me and told me and I am rude right now... Then his rude colleague Zara ( that's the name I was told by the supervisor) started point her arms at me in a very disrespectfull me:" I will not listen to you...client is not always right!". I was stunned by their luck of any manners.
I reported everything to manager. He wasn't concerned much. When I came back just after 1 minute to him to take the names of the cashiers in order to make a complaint he was laughing with them and was just leaving the cash desk. To think I left boots to come here... I am taking it further. This Is not the first time they do fround...
