Hagen is our favourite neighbourhood coffee place. When we first moved to Marylebone I was very nervous about finding places that we loved and could go to every day without question. Itās truly like a family there and my dogās walks around the neighbourhood are never complete until weāve made a stop here. They make an incredible matcha with homemade milk and the staff always go above beyond each time. Not only do they love dogs of all shapes and sizes, the dogs love them right back (the treats help!) and will even try to go there after theyāre closed at night! The team always make a point to make it feel like home while still managing to make the rest of their customers happy and satisfied at the same time. Through good and bad times, Roberta and her team have always made our days so much better. We appreciate them so much. This level of care and customer service should be acknowledged...

The seating is limited, but on a quiet day, the large table at the back is great; or grab the bar in the corner, affording a view of the baristas at work, preparing and tamping their pucks like poetry in motion. They use Dark Arts beans amongst others. The Dragon roast from Brazil I tried is excellent, but that's a subjective opinion: a lot of the trendy YouTubers would probably eschew this these days, in favour of lighter roasted, fruitier single origins. The baristas here seem to be rotated quite often, and rarely, if ever, have I seen the same individual. One barista does latte art you could hang in the National Gallery. Coffee in 3rd wave cafes comes at a bit of a price, but like many in London, Hagen is a nice place to chill out for a couple of hours, when the optimal seating...

I ordered a flat white and a smoked salmon sandwich which was being prepared. I took a seat. I was called back to the counter to pick up my coffee in a paper cup, whilst 3 team members chatted. All the while the sandwich I had ordered was making zero progress. The staff talked ed for at least 10 minutes and the āchefā slowly prepared 20 sandwiches. I watched as he completed the job. It was some 5 minutes later, when I had watch him carefully wrap them that he chose to pop one on the counter and shout over for me to pick it up. Not rude, just too cool to care. Get some energy and connection and it...
