I love Greek cuisine. I have eaten here multiple times and celebrated my birthday here with a party of 4.
Located just of Marylebone high street, the street is not too quiet and not too busy, it’s just right, located on a corner plot the restaurant gets lovely daylight through the glass if you’re eating in the evening in the summer and it compliments the decor inside.
The decoration, fixtures and fittings are gorgeous giving a warm and cool feeling at the same time with the copper colours and metallic/wood fixtures. They have a long central, high chair dining table and normal tables for 2 and 4 people, I have dined on the high chairs for small meals, I wouldn’t recommend it for dinner as it gets uncomfortable.
This place pushes Greek cuisine into the modern day with its contemporary tapas-style dishes.
The staff are really friendly and there when you need them and when you don’t need them you won’t notice or be disturbed by them.
This is a high-end Greek restaurant, I feel like it belongs in Mayfair however I admire the fact of their choice of location as I believe where Opso will be they stand out and don’t need to rely on a location for reputation.
The menu is a little small, However, I appreciate it as it allows them to focus more on what is available and make it to perfection. The menu had a balanced variety and I honestly believe you will be happy with any of the dishes.
The aesthetic presentation of the food is wonderful, awesome for taking pictures.
The food is delicious I shan’t comment further, it speaks for itself.
If you have a special occasion to celebrate, they facilitate well, they brought me a lovely slice of cake on a glass platter with my name written in chocolate sauce and candles and they brought it over and I had my 15mins of fame at Opso, they made me the centre of attention.
Cocktails: They have good bartenders and I’m always left feeling satisfied (that’s what she said) lol.
Booking is a fairly easy process however they do get busy quick as they are in demand so plan.
Pricing, I find it very reasonable for the quality of food you are getting. When I take my wife here I spend between 100-140 for starters, mains, small desserts and cocktails.

Read moreSaw a post on Instagram about their pancakes so I came here with a friend for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. I already knew about this place before and was fully aware of its slightly higher end of pricing so had been hesitant to try their Michelin Greek food. Thankfully for brunch it wasn't too bad that's why I was happy to give it a go.
We ordered both the Lotus pancake and the very berry pancake. I also got a freddo cappuccino which was absolutely amazing! Smooth taste and very strong coffee, nicely done! Pancakes were phenomenal, we both really enjoyed them but we both thought the Lotus pancake ranked slightly higher than the berry pancake because the milk chocolate cream was just smooth and rich but not overly sweet. However, we thought it was a shame that there was only a small amount of lotus biscuit crumbles around the pancake and thought there should have been a lot more as that would have added a lot more to the texture which made it pleasant and fun to eat at the same time. Pancakes were soft, fluffy and thick which was exactly my personal pancake preference. The berry pancake was amazing too, the tanginess of the berries balanced out the heaviness of the whipped cream and we finished everything super quickly.
The only down thing I didn't like while eating and chatting was that the waiter was too quick to take away the Lotus pancake plate. We wanted to savour the crumbles but he must assumed we were done with it and it was that awkward moment when he took the plate away and we didn't know how to ask him not to because we didn't want to look bad. I suppose this is something the team can have a think about going forward.
I really appreciated the quality of service from entering the restaurant to leaving the place. They took my jacket away so we could have more space at the table and it was safely stored away.
It's a great place for brunch if you feel like treating yourself so I recommend it. But it's not a cheap one so one thing to note if you are looking more for affordable brunch as this won't...
Read moreThe food, service, and wine list were all outstanding. This is an exceptional restaurant! I went with my wife and our son and we all agreed this level of Greek cuisine is rare. The menu is varied, with plenty of traditional Greek favorites, as well as some non-Greek dishes. My sashimi tuna starter, for example, was lightly seasoned with pleasingly textured spices. The only negative with regard to the food was the Greek salad. The tomatoes and feta cheese were as good as we've ever had, even in Halkidiki; however, there were no greens in the salad (which, admittedly, is a common problem in even the finest London restaurants). The service was a 10. Our server, Kamelia, was warm, attentive, and knew the menu inside and out. She made several culinary suggestions, all of which turned out to be right on the mark. The wine list is every bit as good as that of Estiatorio Milos, which is a huge complement because it doesn't get better. In fact, we enjoyed a bottle of Assyrtiko that was one of the best I'd ever had, ever! - and perfectly chilled. My only criticism of OPSO is the atmosphere. The décor is warm and inviting, and the staff is also warm and friendly. What we wanted was the simple folk music one often hears in a traditional Greek taverna, or even just some Frank Sinatra, Lucio Dalla or light opera music - something soft and pleasing. Instead. the music was cold, metallic, repetitive, and way too loud. Management said they were unable to change it, which means it was probably one of those corporate soundtracks piped in from some third-party service. So, I would not suggest OPSO for older people (like me!), who might have difficulty hearing. Nor would I suggest it for a romantic evening, unless a robotic synthesizer gets you in the mood. But if this place gets the music right....it will instantly become one of my go-to...
