Incredible restaurant. In an elegant and exclusive part of central London, that they offer high quality cuisine, authentic to Milano and the Emilia Romagna région while still providing globally popular Italian favourites, is amazing. The ambience is warm, family friendly, warm equally to individual diners, tourists, locals, regulars and couples. The outside Al fresco dining is clean and wonderful in the crisp golden hour to evening summer air. Have been regularly since lockdown lightened; never disappointed. Always very satisfied with the atmosphere, experience, very happily satiated with their delicious food. Taken friends, family, coworkers and even visited solo on occasion for a quick cappuccino (of course, topped with a generous dusting of ciccolata) and the untouchably tasty arancini. Go, please try it out, add it to your list and ensure you have space for appetizers, mains and dessert! The bar is also very well stocked, premium featuring excellent, knowledgeable staff, while the waiting table staff have always been friendly and inviting. Visited maybe twelve times in the two years since first trying them out. Family owned by a father and two brothers hailing from Milan, as well as frequented by Italian locals so you know it's as real, authentic and genuine north Italian cuisine as possible. The lady, Katrina who served my cappuccino, arancini and lasagne Yesterday (her recommendation) gave the most exceptional service. Thanks for another fantastic (and reasonably priced) meal, Brasserie Milanese team! See...
Read moreI am sharing details of the horrendous service I received. It is an email that I sent a few times that I never got a response for so I have no other option........
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I have visited on numerous occasions and was very satisfied with the food and staff standard, in fact I often recommend it to friends and family. I visited with my husband and 2 children this morning and am completely in shock with the way we were treated. We all ordered scrambled egg which took 30 minutes to come but having owned several restaurants in the past, this is not something I like to complain about. We received 4 portions which all looked of different textures ( 3 of them classified a mutilated omelette) I took one mouthful and is all I can say is that it was putrid and tasted like burnt potato. I can only assume that the chef had not, cleaned a spoon he had previously used. We alerted the waitress who took them all away, not really knowing if she was going to replace them.... I decided to call the manager over ( middle aged guy) and told him in a very polite manner ( it is not my nature to be rude/arrogant) that we could not eat the eggs as they tasted strange. His response was " Well I think you should leave!" I know, quite shocking!!! In all my years, I have never received such a rude, despicable man and I in 20 years of being a restaurateur I would have never spoke to even the most vile of my customers in this manner. This is totally unacceptable and I would like this to be investigated further.

Read moreAn evening of calamity.
I went to la brasseria for an evening meal yesterday with my partner. I do not understand how none of the food tasted of anything.
The pea purée which came with the salmon tasted of almost nothing, it was, quite frankly, extremely watered down, and possibly thickened up with cornflour to compensate. It did not taste of peas.
Their ‘homemade minestrone soup’ comes with a thick layer of oil, not butter, coating the top of it. It is inedible.
We asked for some water and olives alongside the wine, which didn’t appear after asking twice.
Our food was first delivered to the wrong table (nearby).
I was given bruschetta instead of beef carpaccio. This was replaced after a few minutes’ wait.
My duck ragu tagliatelle arrived, it tasted absolutely nothing like duck. It was almost certainly beef mince in some kind of grease. When asked about this, the manager brought a bowl of beef mince in tomato sauce for me to ‘try for comparison’. I do not expect to be spoken to like a toddler as a man in my 40’s. I most certainly do know what duck tastes like. The manager on duty had no people skills.
The gluten-free meal my partner ate gave her severe cramps all evening. I can only assume again here that some kind of thickener has been used on the gluten free meals also.
Given the number of high quality restaurants in London, I am surprised they can put this garbage in front of people and then charge what they do.
NONE OF THE FOOD TASTED OF ANYTHING EXCEPT OIL. AWFUL. Will...
