This review relates to the Cutler St restaurant. The first 3 minutes were ok. I always want a beer on arrival and nibbled.. got bread and hummos.. Good.. I was basically neglected after that for 20 minutes. It's gaulling to watch 2 staff at the counter in full view of me talking to each other. It was pathetic. I eventually got sight of a waitress and beckoned her. Many minutes later she asked for my order I asked for wine and bread and got it within 5 mins. Fifteen minutes have elapsed since then nothing else has arrived.I am being honest here, the service is shocking. Places like this need to first be told this, and then listen carefully to the criticism, and do something about it. The entrees came...he kalimarj.. much too oily, but generous, goat cheese tasted it was from Tesco, and pomegranate just ok, note I am not saying very good or excellent.. It is pedestrian average to good food here. Nothing more, nothing giving me a buzz at all. A shame as inside the restaurant is a very nice place. The chefs need to have a good look at what they prepare. Add some avant garde energy and innovation to dishes, give us some blackboard specials.. fish is recommended. Overall the restaurant is good but...
Read moreAs a regular in the evening, excellent food is the order of the day and the waiting staff are efficient striving to exceed expectations plus they are kind people. The Supervisors are understandably a step up. Just a personal opinion but what makes a visit special is the Manager’s passion for and knowledge of food. When it comes to food, the lady can talk the hind leg off a donkey but I like that. One can learn and enthusiasm rubs off. They need to do more with the bar in quiet periods. They missed a trick by not showing football in the summer. There should be a more savvy use of social media with events and/or offers during the downtime. I don’t think people realise one can normally go into the bar area for just a drink and say a snack .There is a bar menu. The closed road for traffic during a major part of the summer did not help them. Correct use of social media is an art and a science and best left to those far younger than me. The bar counter is showing wear by way of scratching. The overhead lamps don’t help. If you like Turkish food, the Haz Premier Place is well...
