Disappointing Experience – Needs Immediate Improvement

I won’t be returning unless things improve. The service was indifferent, and the lack of basic amenities (no Wi-Fi or plugs) makes this place unsuitable for anyone trying to work. The only person showing any real customer service skills was the manager/owner.

I visited to do some work. The place was half full, so I asked the barista for a table with a plug. She showed no interest and simply handed me a menu, saying everything was "booked." I ended up sitting in the garden (where there are no plugs) and waited for a table to free up. Once the place quieted down, I asked if I could move to a table with a plug, only for the waitress/barista to suddenly tell me that they don’t allow laptops on weekends—something that seemed made up on the spot. Meanwhile, a family of three occupied two tables next to me, taking up much more space than necessary.

To the management:

Focus on customer service—train your staff, replace them, or move them to the kitchen. Provide Wi-Fi and plugs, especially in the garden. Serve water with food (it’s a basic expectation). Be transparent about policies like laptop usage. Prioritize customer needs, especially when the place is empty.

As a local, I can confidently say we won’t be back unless things improve. There are plenty of other great cafés around, and I don’t think this place will last long if it doesn’t improve its service—especially when the café is barely busy.

We recently hosted our daughter’s first birthday at Mabelle’s Café, and I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough. From start to finish, the experience was wonderful thanks to the incredible owners who went above and beyond to make the day truly special.

They were so kind, welcoming, and accommodating—nothing was ever too much trouble. Whether it was helping us get set up, being flexible with timing, or just checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly, they made us feel completely supported. Their warmth and attention to detail meant so much on such an important day for our family.

The space itself was absolutely perfect—beautiful, cozy, and full of charm, with just the right atmosphere for a family celebration. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the venue; everyone felt relaxed and at home, and we all had a lovely time.

Last weekend I came here with my family for a christmas brunch and it was lovely couldn’t recommend more ! The food is delicious and they adapt well to dietary needs such a gluten free options and dairy alternatives for coffees. I would strongly recommend the Mabelle’s breakfast as it was unique and full of flavour. Aditionally ,while their is a variety of brunch options , there are good sweet alternatives which I strongly recommend such as the french toast and the fruity granola. I was impressed with the extensive selection of fresh smoothies and juices perfect for any occasion. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and can’t wait to go again!
