A Flavorful Fiesta at Nando's Clink Street!
Rating: ★★★★★
Nando's Clink Street has won my heart and taste buds with its irresistible blend of mouthwatering flavors, friendly ambiance, and exceptional service. As a lover of grilled cuisine, this Nando's location truly impressed me, and I am thrilled to share my outstanding dining experience with you.
From the moment I stepped foot into Nando's Clink Street, I was greeted with warm and welcoming smiles from the attentive staff. The restaurant's vibrant and modern decor, adorned with African-inspired elements, created a lively and inviting atmosphere that immediately set the stage for a delightful meal.
Now let's talk about the star of the show: the food! Nando's is renowned for its flame-grilled Peri-Peri chicken, and I can confidently say that their offerings at Clink Street are nothing short of extraordinary. The menu features a variety of succulent chicken dishes, each marinated in their signature Peri-Peri sauce, available in different spice levels to suit every palate.
I opted for their classic Half Chicken, marinated in Medium Peri-Peri sauce, and it was a flavor explosion! The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy, with a smoky char that added a delightful depth to every bite. The Peri-Peri sauce had just the right balance of tanginess, spiciness, and aromatic herbs, enhancing the chicken's natural flavors without overpowering them. The side dishes, such as the peri-salted fries and crunchy coleslaw, were the perfect accompaniments, adding a delightful contrast of textures and flavors to the meal.
What impressed me even more was the attention to detail in accommodating different dietary preferences. Nando's Clink Street offers a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan options, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a delicious meal. Their Veggie Cataplana, a tantalizing mix of chargrilled vegetables, chickpeas, and spicy rice, left me craving for more, even as a non-vegetarian.
The service at Nando's Clink Street was exceptional. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making recommendations and catering to any special requests. The food arrived promptly and was served with a genuine smile, enhancing the overall dining experience.
Another noteworthy aspect of Nando's Clink Street is its convenient location. Situated near the iconic landmarks of London Bridge and the Borough Market, it provides a perfect pitstop for a flavorsome meal during a day of exploration or a leisurely dinner before catching a show.
In conclusion, Nando's Clink Street is a dining destination that excels in every aspect. With its tantalizing Peri-Peri chicken, diverse menu options, warm and welcoming ambiance, and outstanding service, it is an experience that should not be missed. Whether you're a devoted fan of Nando's or new to their flavorful world, a visit to Clink Street is sure to leave you with a satisfied appetite and a...
Read moreCold, dry food and the absolute worst experience with a member of staff ever!
Unfortunately my food was originally delivered hard as a rock and dry.
I went to counter to complain and was told to go back to my table and a replacement would be served. I waited 15 minutes and went back to the counter. At this point it had been 50 minutes since ordering. Spoke with a member of staff who repeated the same as the last member of staff and I should return to my table. Asked about a refund and was offered a free dessert. Tried to continue asking about a refund but the member of staff simply walks off without a word cutting me off mid sentence.
I return to my table and waited 10 minutes for the member of staff to bring me my food. He hands me my plate and I ask about the refund and he simply walks off, again while I was mid sentence. I follow him to explain that it's unacceptable to be walking away from a customer mid conversation. When I arrive at the counter I am greeted with a horrible attitude like I have not experienced in any establishment let alone Nando's. He was extremely argumentative and answered back to everything I was saying while also laughing at me. This was done in front of all other customers and members of staff.
I could see it wasn't getting me anywhere productive so I ask for a take out box and refund. He provides both while continuing on like this is my fault and making me feel my request for a basic level of service is ridiculous.
Top off the whole experience by saying there's no point complaining online as it won't do anything and that he's not afraid of any complaint. I know, I really do know that this isn't how Nando's treats it's customers and I really would hope complaints are treated with some respect, but this whole experience has left me deflated and dejected. I walked away, boxed my meal and used some choice words before leaving.
If you do take feedback seriously I just hope another customer doesn't have to experience that side of that member of staff again and you can give them the support he needs to be at the usual Nando's standard. I really shouldn't go home emotional because I decided to go out for a birthday meal at Clink Street.
I have since had a call from the manager there and received an apology with the reasoning being that the store was busy on that particular day. I was also told by the manager that I should not use any negative language when feeling shamed to the point of leaving an establishment. While that is justified and I agree that I should not swear I feel I should never have been put in a situation of walking out due to staff...
Read moreAn absolute gem of a building and very courteous staff, really made to feel welcomed. Nando's Clink Street delivers a reliably satisfying experience, consistent with the brand's established formula, but with a few notable positive aspects. The atmosphere, while often bustling, maintains a vibrant and energetic feel, making it a suitable spot for a casual meal with friends or family. Service, generally, is efficient and friendly, with staff demonstrating a willingness to accommodate requests. The food, of course, is the main draw, and the chicken is cooked to Nando's signature standard: moist and flavourful, with the option to customize the spice level to individual preferences. The sides, particularly the peri-peri chips and creamy mash, are consistently well-prepared and offer a welcome complement to the chicken. While the restaurant can get quite busy, especially during peak hours, the turnover is relatively quick, minimizing wait times. The location itself, near the historic Clink Prison Museum, adds a touch of character and provides a convenient option for those exploring the South Bank area. The cleanliness of the restaurant is also commendable, with tables cleared and cleaned promptly. Overall, Nando's Clink Street provides a dependable and enjoyable dining experience, offering the familiar Nando's quality in a lively and...
