Disappointing Customer Service at Nando's, Earls Court Road.

Dear Nando's Management,

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the customer service my friend and I experienced at your Earls Court Road location today 07/01/24 at 18:07 PM. We visited for dinner and to catch up, requesting a table near the entrance. Unfortunately, no one acknowledged our request. We were then seated at a table at the back of the restaurant, which lacked atmosphere. When we asked again to be seated near the entrance, we were told that the table was for four people, despite there being multiple other tables for four available and other customers were on tables that did not fit the requirements as Delfim preached.

In my many years of dining at Nando's locations, this was by far the worst service I've encountered. We even offered to move if a larger group arrived, but our request was still denied. This entire experience could have been avoided.

My friend and I ate at a local Japanese restaurant a few mins away from this Nandos location, when walking past on our way back the same table we requested and the restaurant was empty.

Delfim, the staff member responsible, chose to disregard our reasonable request, leaving us upset and dissatisfied. It seems to me that Delfim lack's the necessary experience and training to properly manage such situations. A more thoughtful and customer-focused approach could have ensured that we left as satisfied customers, with a positive review.

I urge you to provide further training for Delfim on proper customer service and etiquette. If he cannot grasp the basic principles of customer service, it may be best for him to reconsider his role in the hospitality industry.

We arrived at Earl's Court Nandos and were irritated from the start. The lady who took our order was very good and efficient however when getting our sauces we noticed there were no salad dressings for our dressings. We asked the lady in the checked shirt who we assumed was the Manager and she said 'look around the tables and if you cant find any then we havent got any'. No attempt to search or look in any stocks for us. We then asked if we could have some perinase mayo in lieu of salad dressing and she said we will have to pay for it and we said yes we would like some thinking she would come back and she didn't and we then had to leave our table with our food getting cold to get in the queue. Whilst in the queue my sister in law noticed that the chef behind the counter wipe mayo from his hand on to the food he was preparing. Whilst still eating dinner the Manager in the checked shirt came along and asked if everything was ok and took the chick on the stick without waiting for an answer, she obviously didn't want to find out what we had to say. Then when two of our party had finished eating and one was still going the Manager in the checked shirt came along and tried to clear a plate and we had to say that one of our party had not finished. The Manager walked away in a huff. Whilst eating we noticed that there was a girl behind the counter cooking food that had a long ponytail and only had half of her hair covered with the hair net. Nandos at Earl’s Court delivered one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had! From the moment we walked in, the team was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel at home. A special shoutout to Neha, who went above and beyond to make our visit even more enjoyable. Her helpfulness and warmth truly made the experience stand out.

I had the halloumi salad with avocado, and it was absolutely perfect—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying— didn’t feel shortchanged as a vegetarian in any way. My son ordered the Fanta wings with corn on the cob, beans, and mashed potatoes, and he couldn’t stop raving about how delicious everything was. The wings were cooked to perfection, and the sides complemented them beautifully.

Top 10 of all restaurant experiences we’ve ever had and defo #1 spot for chain restaurants… special, memorable, and beyond expectations.
