Well definitely NOT what I expected. I was very much of the mind that this will be yet another rather sad tourist trap tucked away just off The Strand. What a wonderful surprise when I was met with a small, but politely enthusiastic crowd outside in Bull Inn Court enjoying the sunshine. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. One of the highlights was the jukebox – it’s amazing! A brilliant selection of music that kept the vibe lively and fun all night. The pub has a great mix of character, history, and just the right amount of energy. We enjoyed delicious charcuterie cups filled with a variety of cheeses and meats – a perfect snack to accompany our drinks. Speaking of drinks, the gin and tonics were spot-on – refreshing and well-made. Everything we tried was excellent, and it’s clear that care goes into both the food and drinks. Overall, the Nell Gwynne delivered on all fronts: fantastic service, top-notch snacks, great drinks, and a brilliant musical atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable pub...
