Recent Improvement at Notes (with Room for Growth on Coffee) I had a rough experience at Notes in the past (slow service, inattentive staff), but I recently decided to give them another shot. I'm happy to report a significant improvement! A friendly manager (possibly Italian?) helped out a new waitress and provided excellent service. He even apologized for the wait and offered a menu, a stark contrast to my previous experience. I visited twice for wine and snacks, and both times the manager impressed me with his extensive wine knowledge. He expertly guided customers towards the perfect selections. The white wines were fantastic! However, the coffee wasn't quite there. For the price (especially considering the service charge), the quality wasn't up to par. WatchHouse nearby offers a better cup for a better price. On the other hand, the service during my coffee visit was phenomenal (thanks Paige!). The Spinach & Feta Parcels were a delightful surprise! Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside – just perfect. The flavor profile was excellent, with a great balance of textures and tastes. These would pair wonderfully with a glass of white wine, and I highly recommend trying them. Overall, Notes seems to be under new management, and the service has drastically improved. While the coffee needs some work, everything else was fantastic. I'll definitely be back for the Spinach & Feta Parcels and the great wine selection, but I might wait to see if the coffee improves before ordering it again.

The food tastes great not really fond of the coffee taste here. They lost a couple of stars because of the service level felt under accommodating for example - when you eat in latte coffee is served in a small Italian glass and not joke around 7 sips and it's gone, so I asked if I can get my coffee in a bigger mug which I could see and they said this is the only size we don't in, I asked what about that one, they said that was for other coffee types, after my disappointed face she said how about the take away cup - I said perfect that you, why didn't she offer that right away. Also to the owners why have one type of special breakfast which has two poached eggs avo on toast with salmon... I asked her if I can swap the for bacon please and take the salmon off, she replied sorry you can pay extra for the bacon but we can't substitute, so I'm paying the £12 for the salmon and paying more on top to add bacon, when I won't even eat the salmon... It just doesn't make sense. Also the poached eggs weren't poached they were hard not runny. In total coffee and juice and the breakfast came to £20.. defo little over priced.

Every time I visit the Kiosk - Notes Coffee at Canary Wharf, it feels like a little escape in the middle of the city rush. The coffee is always top-notch — rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed, just the way specialty coffee should be. The vibe at the kiosk is warm and inviting, and it’s become my go-to spot for a mid-day pick-me-up or a relaxing moment. What truly sets this place apart, though, is Romano, the heart and soul of the kiosk. He’s the responsible for the kiosk. His energy is infectious — always greeting you with a genuine smile, positive vibes, and the kind of attentiveness that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time. His passion for what he does shines through in every cup and every conversation. It’s rare to find such a combination of excellent coffee and truly exceptional service. Romano makes Notes Coffee more than just a café — he makes it a place you want to come back to, again and again. Highly recommended for both the coffee and the experience. ☕✨

Coffee is good, which is why I come here. Usually, my experience is good, fairly quick and efficient service but today was not the best - which was a shame.

I went in and ordered a coffee and was told by the barista to take a seat and she would bring the coffee over, nothing unusual there. While sitting, I noticed customer after customer walking out with their coffees, a little concerning but fine, it can happen. I then noticed a barista bring over a coffee to the table next to me who had arrived a good 10 minutes after me. At this point I went over to the barista that took payment, but the same barista that served the table next to me jumped in and asked what coffee I ordered, after telling him my order he said he would make it again, apologised and said that he couldn't find me. I couldn't believe it, the place is not large at all, and if anyone had wanted to find me it wouldn't be hard, I couldn't accept the explanation as the customer one and a half metres away from me got his coffee. So, had I not made the effort to go to the counter, my coffee was never going to make its way to me. Surely if you can't find someone that's sitting down in a small coffee shop once, the second time you try (if any effort was made at all) you would be successful.

I can only speculate as to the reason for not "finding" me - at best it's laziness and incompetence and at worst - racism.

Coffee is good, service is usually fine - even if cold, but today I felt compelled to report...

We came to this place in a sunshine afternoon with good mood. Ordered two coffees and then sit down at a table outside. Two minutes later the ‘manager’ came to our table and said to us ‘if there are any people who ask to have a table outside then I may ask you to leave.’ I was so shocked and ask him why he said because you ordered coffees for takeaway (We use takeaway cup sometimes not sure to stay long or go and keep the coffee warm as well). Although later he said maybe there are some misunderstandings when ordered.but we decide to leave since we felt very uncomfortable. I don’t know if I could give him extra 40p to stay here or to leave. It was just awkward like we took advantage of their seats. To be honest I never had this kind of experience in any of London’s coffee shop. The man who asked us to leave even ‘monitored’ us for a long time before he came to us, it was so rude and ridiculous for this manager (he looks like a manager because he was in casual wear). I don’t think it is a good idea to run a coffee shop in our friendly London, the manager’s attitude even worse than his stuff. Everything else was fine, nice coffee, I bought normally in tube station other branch of notes.but we will definitely never come back, rather stay in Costa (or...
