If you're looking for a true taste of Italy in the heart of London, Paper Moon at The OWO is a destination not to be missed. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted by Pauline.

My wife and I were struck by the refined ambience, sophisticated yet welcoming, with a contemporary Italian elegance that sets the tone for a memorable dining experience.

For starters, my wife chose the Fritto Misto, a perfectly crisp medley of fried prawns, squids, anchovies, and zucchini, served with a zesty homemade lemon mayonnaise. It was light, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I had the Noci di Capesante a pan-fried scallops with fresh peas and a sea urchin sauce. All I can say is: wow.

The scallops were seared to perfection, and the sea urchin sauce added a luxurious depth that elevated the dish.

Moving to the mains, we shared two standout plates. The Linguine with Homarus lobster, datterini tomatoes, and a rich bisque sauce was divine. In fact, my wife loved it so much she didn’t want to share! Every bite was indulgent and full of fresh, bold flavour.

I chose the Sogliola di Dover, a grilled Dover sole served with sautéed spinach in a light butter sauce. The fish was brought to the table and expertly prepared in front of us. a beautiful touch that enhanced the experience. Alongside it, I ordered the Purea di Patate, their signature creamy, buttery mashed potato. Sublime doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Though we were quite full, Mehmet , our exceptional server, insisted we try a few desserts, and we’re so glad we listened. The Tiramisù was the star: soft ladyfingers layered with mascarpone and infused with rich coffee flavours. It’s a must-try, perhaps one of the best we've had.

We also enjoyed the Pannacotta, made with Madagascar vanilla, almond crumble, and raspberry sauce. Light, flavourful, and notably gelatine free, this was a refreshing and elegant finish. Lastly, the Dolce Salato, a sponge cake with wild berries, vanilla ice cream, and a drizzle of salted caramel—was a delightful combination of sweet and savoury.

To accompany everything, we had some refreshing mocktails that paired beautifully with the meal and added a nice, uplifting touch.

The service throughout was impeccable. Mehmet went above and beyond with his friendly manner and knowledgeable recommendations. Every member of the team contributed to an experience that was polished and attentive without ever feeling overbearing.

Paper Moon offers a taste of refined Italian cuisine in an equally refined setting. The attention to detail in both food and service is evident in every dish and interaction. Whether it’s for a romantic dinner, a special occasion, or just a desire to experience authentic contemporary Italian flavours, Paper Moon delivers in every way.

We will definitely be back. Highly...

This is a restaurant, famous in Milano, for quality ingredients and on point cooking with good ingredients. This is also located in the new OWO Building, aka The Raffles group London outpost. Those 2 elements are essential to comprehend the reason for my ratings. We arrive in a taxi and are promptly opened the door of our cab before we even paid the driver. Very efficient, perhaps too efficient even, so a good omen to start with. We are then led towards our table at Paper Moon. We then go the cloakroom where there was 1 staff person and 6 people waiting to store their coats and umbrellas. After waiting to store our items, we reached the table and started having dinner. The cocktail list like promising but in reality the cocktails are not suitable for the type of food on the menu . They are too strong and too big, plus not inventive or original and lacking finesse. We ordered 2 pizzas to share together with some starters of Battuta di manzo( beef tartare ) and raw artichokes plus ossobuco and cotoletta milanese, risotto with truffle and ricciola plus the papaveri and the small calamari. We chose some Pieropan Soave to accompany the dishes we chose. The service was improvised, the starters were sometimes forgotten, and so was the risotto with truffle we ordered for 2 people. When it arrived it was not up to standard. The Ricviola was also forgotten and when it arrived it was not great . The dessert were a tarte tatin which was ok, despite not being a classic tarte tatin, a tiramisu which was bad, a sorbet that was unremarkable. At this type of venue we expected much better than this . The manager did all he could to ease things up, but this looked like a sinking ship with too many holes, impossible to save from sinking unless serious changes happen in the service and in...
