After waiting in the queue, the young lady serving served someone who'd just walked in. When I mentioned it she made it seem like my problem was with the person she served before me when it was the young lady who ignored that we had already been queuing for five minutes, making no apology, rather apologizing for me mentioning it to the lady who pushed in. She then accused me of trying to steal a packet of sweets my 3 year old had passed to me which I was trying to make her forget about. Openly accused me in front of a dozen other customers. Will never come here again, terrible customer service. This edit is in reply to your reply. You say you reviewed the footage? Your employee politely asked if there was anything else in my pocket that I'd forgot to pay for ? Politely asked if there was anything else I'd forgot to pay for ? This on top of serving someone who blatantly pushed in after I'd been waiting for 5 minutes. This shows the level of your care that your customers receive decent service. Terrible is...
Read moreA really lovely little cafe with a view of the Thames, and attached to a small city farm. The outdoor seething is nicely space, with beautiful surroundings. The space inside is a little on the small side, but it doesn’t matter, because the service is quick. The staff are friendly and patient, he explained the food when we asked questions. All the food is really fresh and looks so good, with generous portions. I got a bottled fruit juice that had carrot and ginger in, and the plain sausage roll, which was actually full of flavour, and good quality Cumberland type meat. I was really tempted by the cakes, they had all my favourites. This is a great location for lunch, or to sit whilst waiting for a friend. It’s family friendly and there’s vegetarian options. I will...

One of my favourite spots in the area. Lovely staff. Good quality food, great setting and location. Pleasant toilets. I good go one with positives.
However, there are glaring issues with The Barn which are so frustrating at times.

You pay where the entrance is which blocks others from coming into the shop. You have to ask others to move to get out of the shop. There are random things in the way of where people should queue.
Time between ordering, paying and receiving purchases is very slow.
Perhaps this is part of the charm, but really hoping the team can look at these “logistics” as it puts me and...
