So I will be really honest with this review for my first time using the uber boat myself it was a really great experience and how much nicer it is to go to different parts in London but on a boat!! And to get to see more then you realise and such a quick time as well, I would recommend this to any one able to walk independently. I would definitely return with my family and use the uber boat as means of transport around London.
But today I didn’t visit with my family, today I came with work, I work in a day centre with elderly dementia members, these members are able to walk but some need a bit more assistance than others and use the means of a walking frame or even a stick, whilst I couldn’t fault the ramps at the lower part of the boating platform at Battersea power station, the first initial part of walking down was extremely steep and only having a rail at either side of the open walkway it was very difficult and a lot of reassurance was needed too. The Man who greeted us was extremely helpful and kind allowing the members to board first with plenty of room and not feeling rushed. As we got onto the Boat we was greeted by three of the kindest gentleman who work for you, they was extremely polite and even informed us about the the raising of the step slightly as you get on and the boat is in the water swaying with the water we didn’t think about that, there also wasn’t any signs just informing you of this as it would of been helpful. We was guided of with no rushing and just pure kindness from the staff on board. We stopped off at Bankside so we could hop back on giving us plenty of time to get back to have a coffee stop before heading home on the mini bus. We got back on to go back to Battersea, we wasn’t greeted kindly rather Ridley by a staff member just tapping at his people counter he had in his hand the whole time, he was walking round rushing everyone on but not directing people when they looked confused to where they thought he wanted them to go, he then approached my group and said can’t go there, as I was sitting a gentleman down and had his frame next to me, he then repeated 3 more time that can’t go there, move it to here pointing at the isle seats. So I just stood still and asked him do you want me to move this gentleman man to him saying no, to him then looking and pointing at the frame and said that move. I said oh you mean the frame! I explained can you see I’m sitting this man down right this second I can’t do two things at once. I then asked for his name as I found him very rude and unhelpful. He told me and after couldn’t have been more nicer and offering to help. I understand that not all people understand elderly walking difficulties but everyone is still living there first life to, why should they miss out for being inconvenient or to much hassle, I made sure that they enjoyed seeing all the views. But it upsets me sometimes how inconsiderate...

Myself and my guests got to Canary Wharf pier at 2pm and joined the line for westbound boats. We were told we would need to wait 20 minutes. We ended up waiting for a full hour while 3 westbound boats to Westminster docked and loaded passengers. Each time we asked staff, they said it would be another 20 minutes. They provided no other information and did not seem to take the frustrations of our group or other waiting passengers, seriously. The lack of clarity and communication around the schedule and the resulting unexpectedly long wait time was very frustrating.
When our boat was finally arriving / in sight - as they had just docked at the stop before us -we were told by pier staff that they would be bypassing us because of a scheduled event on the Thames, a public parade. We were also then told that no other boats would be arriving or leaving the pier due to this event. This was a previously scheduled event, yet none of the staff at Canary Wharf pier were aware of it or mentioned anything about a disruption or change to the schedule for the day during the hour we were waiting, or the many times we spoke to them.
This situation and the conduct of Uber Thames Clipper staff has severely wasted our time and our money - not just the cost of these tickets, but the money spent getting to the pier and then having to re-route our entire day / plans around...
Read moreBrilliant way to travel around London. Just hop on and hop off at the different piers along the Thames. They have more stops then any other riverboat service. It's so quick and easy as it's like a bus service as they have a schulde to keep to. It's very easy for them to moor the boat along the pier, as it is a catermaran, they just throw the rope on the quay to tie it up, put the walkway down get the passengers off and other passengers in within 5 minutes and then you are off again. So quick and easy turnaround time. You can pay for a single one way journey or return or a rover ticket, so you can get on and off all day, you can do this at the pier using card payment or do it online before you go. You can use your Oyster card just by taping in and out when you get off, but just make sure that you have enough on your oyster card before you set off. The seats are lovely and comfortable like cinema seats lots of leg room with carpet s. Plenty of seats. Has toilets and also a snack bar cafe on board where you can buy snacks and drinks. Doesn't make a noise a really quiet journey. Nice and warm and cosy inside. Well worth using. I will definitely be using them again it's so easy. I didn't...
