The Conduit, situated in London's Covent Garden, is a private members' club that has garnered attention for its commitment to social change and sustainability. Established in 2018, it serves as a hub for individuals dedicated to addressing global challenges, fostering a community of changemakers from diverse sectors. **Ambiance and Design** The club spans multiple floors, each thoughtfully designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interiors feature a palette of rich greens, soft pinks, and navy, complemented by furniture in inviting gem tones. Notably, many furnishings are sourced from ethical suppliers, such as the RAW Workshop in Oxford, which employs individuals recovering from substance abuse. This attention to detail reflects The Conduit's dedication to sustainability and social responsibility. **Dining Experience** The Conduit houses Rucola, a restaurant that has received praise for its intimate setting and exceptional service. Patrons have highlighted the attentive staff and the quality of the cuisine. However, some reviews indicate that service can be slow during less busy times, suggesting room for improvement in consistency. **Events and Programming** The club is renowned for hosting a variety of events aimed at fostering dialogue and collaboration on pressing global issues. Past events have featured notable figures such as Christiane Amanpour discussing the future of news and Andrew Bastawrous on initiatives to combat preventable blindness. These events provide members with opportunities to engage with thought leaders and contribute to meaningful discussions. **Membership and Community** With a membership base exceeding 1,600 individuals, The Conduit brings together professionals from business, NGOs, the arts, and other sectors. This diverse community is united by a shared commitment to effecting positive change. The club offers spaces for co-working, private meetings, and social gatherings, facilitating networking and collaboration among members. **Employee Perspectives** Employee reviews present a mixed picture. On Glassdoor, The Conduit holds an overall rating of 2.0 out of 5, based on over 21 reviews, with 36% of employees indicating they would recommend working there to a friend. These reviews suggest that while the club's mission is commendable, there may be internal challenges that need to be addressed to improve employee satisfaction. **Conclusion** The Conduit stands out as a distinctive members' club in London, merging luxury with a profound commitment to social impact and sustainability. Its thoughtfully designed spaces, engaging events, and dedicated community offer a unique environment for individuals passionate about driving positive change. While dining experiences at Rucola are generally well-received, there is potential for enhancing service consistency. Additionally, addressing employee concerns could further strengthen the club's operations and community. Overall, The Conduit represents a forward-thinking model for how private clubs can contribute to societal betterment while providing an exclusive and enriching experience for their members.

Looking for a rooftop restaurant in Covent Garden area to celebrate my birthday with family. Its for members only. Only open for non members on Saturdays from 12-8pm. On Langley St. Found this secret jewel. Located on the 5th floor. Lift serviced. Wheelchair accessible. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The manager Danny prepared a special welcome drink for us as it is our first time. It was so so good and we thank him for that. We were served by Pedro who looked after us very well. The food is delicious and portion is enough to satisfy your palate. I ordered stone baked Nduja Piccante Pizza with a bottle of small beer lager (2.1%) whilst wife tried the Linguine with Vongole and daughter ordered the Norma Pizza which we enjoyed so much. We highly commended their pistacchio ice cream and strawberry and lemon teramisu for dessert. The place is good for celebrating special occasions. I can't thank enough Danny and the team for making my birthday a special one 🥰 Highly recommended.

I chose the conduit to celebrate my 4year's wedding anniversary. It was a total failure. We had the vegan menu and chose to have one option if each from the menu to try it all. The starter with leeks was terrible. Nothing in it was good. The main dish was also not good. The roast was bland in taste and the cauliflower and bulgur was just not good. Finally the dessert. One of them was an old, dry and hard donought. We simply couldn't eat it. The chocolate one was good. The service was ok but they didn't care to check with us how the food was. We left food on the plate and that didn't seem to bother them. I would not recommend the vegan menu there.

An Exceptional Rooftop Dining Experience at Rucola, The Conduit

From the moment we arrived at The Conduit on Langley Street, we were blown away by the ambiance, service, and overall experience. Rucola, the rooftop restaurant, is a true hidden gem in Covent Garden.

Atmosphere: The setting is absolutely beautiful—situated on the fifth floor with a charming rooftop pergola and incredible skyline views. The space blends natural wood, greenery, and soft lighting to create a relaxed yet refined vibe. It’s the perfect balance of stylish and welcoming.

Service: The service was exceptional. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Special shoutout to Nitin, who gave amazing recommendations and made the experience even more memorable. Everything felt personal and genuine, with just the right amount of attention throughout the evening.

Food & Drinks: The food was phenomenal. Every dish felt thoughtful and seasonal, with a focus on fresh ingredients and sustainability. The seafood pasta and roasted cauliflower were highlights, bursting with flavor. The cocktail and wine selection is also impressive—featuring natural wines and low-waste cocktails that perfectly complement the menu.

Overall: Rucola is more than just a meal—it’s a full experience. Whether you’re visiting for a date night, weekend lunch, or a pre-theatre dinner, you’ll be treated to fantastic food, stunning views, and top-tier hospitality. Highly recommended. We’ll...

I was a guest for an afternoon. Drinks and lunch on the top floor restaurant with a fantastic view of the sky above earth. If you've never seen it, you should. It's big. Look straight ahead from the balcony and you see various London bricks forming walls.

The pizza tasted like a brick. It didn't. But it was a really poor mushroom pizza. The service was so slow we saw the rotation of the stars above us. However, the head of staff was very good at fulsome apologies. His crew, however, behaved like first-day newbies to the service industry.

There was a talk on drugs downstairs that evening. I was kindly offered a spare ticket by another guest. Great talk. On the way down to the talk I saw some of The Conduit's facilities on the various levels. The place resembles a smash up between a Soho House side-line project and a WeWork. BTW, a club member who I sat next to was very unhappy that the professor giving the talk was selling and signing his books after the event. He said it was kitsch and not the kind of thing they should do at an exclusive club.

If he sounds like your kind of fella, and you don't mind average food with poor service - and you like eating at altitude with no notable view whatsoever - sign up to The Conduit. When you try to be elitist but you can't deliver, you just come across as smug,...
