The Mason's Arms, Battersea — Restaurant in London

Excellent pub just outside Battersea Park Station. Excellent decor with a traditional feel. Great range of guest craft beers always on (counted around 14 craft and about 4 cask plus rare cans too)

The food looked fantastic, on this occasion I didn't have any as just came in for a few, however I have had the Calamri before and it was lovely and tasted very fresh. It was obvious from the attitude of the staff that the chef is very well respected and has a passion for their food.

For those with the beer app 'Untappd' this pub is verified and has a live menu and a badge to earn. :)

The bar staff were really friendly and even had a small chat about the beer when they had time which was a nice touch to the place. Friendly locals too.

Excellent transport connections of course.

Food was dreadful, another local place that has let its culinary reputation slide and is simply living on the fact that it's close to the station.

We went on Saturday afternoon (a time which you used to struggle to get a table at, but the place was pretty much empty) and ordered a few small bites.

After being told we couldn’t add cheese to our chips by the "chef" (despite cheese being served with everything else) we were served up a few dishes which looked like the person in charge of food quite simply couldn’t be bothered and was ‘phoning it in’. The Nachos were tired and thrown together, the Macaroni dish was dry and without any flavour at all, and the flatbreads served with the Hummus were rock-hard and would have been better used as frisbees.

Service was ok and the beer was average - hence 2 stars and not 1.

Do yourself a favour and don’t bother eating there, there are much better options within a 5 minute...

Really nice gastro pub in Battersea. I've been here a few times for work lunches, a few liquid lunches too! Perfect place for a mid week or Friday lunch with your work colleagues, Atmosphere is not too bad during the day, nice and quiet, Thursdays and Fridays Atmosphere is turned up a notch. There is comfortable seating outside during the warm weather, now as the nights are getting colder it's best to get the nice comfy seats by the open fire!

The last meal I had was the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel which came with a rather nice salad and fries! I did try before the Burger however I found that to be a bit dry, but still good. If you work south of the river I suggest you pop down here for after work drinks, its a...
