Although I don’t drink alcohol, I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of mocktails available—each one delightfully sweet and refreshing. Was scammed here for a drink during cocktail week Manchester.

Perhaps the bartender had no knowledge on it but his attitude towards us was rude and he gaslighted us into getting 4 drinks when we initially wanted 3 drinks. The initial price would be 5 pounds per drink with the cockatiel week wristband discount but he urged us to get 4 drinks instead and insisted that it was cheaper

4 drinks added up would be 22 pounds while 3 drinks with the cocktail week discount would be 15 pounds only. A whole 7 pounds difference.

And when we asked him to change it back to 3 drinks after learning of that he told us he already made the drinks for us which is fair and so we asked if he could retain it as the Cocktail week discount instead of the bars own happy our discount as 4 drinks would still be 20 pounds but the bar's promo is 22 pounds

And he said he could not change the price as the Cocktail week discount wasn't showing on the till (which then puts into question why the drink and bar itself is listed under one of the spots for cocktail weeks and mind you we have to pay for the wristband as well)

All in all it's not the bartender's fault as he could be ignorant to this or even new on the job but the miscommunication between employer and employee and the gaslighting attitude to get is into getting 4 drinks felt very much like a scam

Ahh… Simmons, a truly remarkable venue to say the least. A dazzling amethyst amongst the gritty hustle and bustle of Manchester's grand metropolis. Its decor ever so inviting, lavishly furnished - complete with the most welcoming staff, we truly felt at home here. Our bartender - a lovely young chap, Jordan his name if I do recall correctly - a gentleman and a scholar, he put on a show my wife and I will never forget, a true alchemist in the craft of cocktail making, I’ve never seen such intricate beverages formed with such great finesse - it was a beautiful sight to withhold, manipulating a multitude of spirits with but one hand from an array of liquor from the bars vast inventory, it was like watching a wild peacock perform its seasonal mating ritual with its one true lover. And there it was… the most exquisite cocktail to have ever dampened my seasoned old palate, yes… yes I can still taste it now - layers of flavour embedded in the creases of my taste buds… I couldnt help but pry the glass away from my dry lips, hold it up high and gaze at it in sheer awe.
