Delightful Experience

Lagan Bar is a hidden gem that delivers a perfect blend of taste, elegance, and hospitality.

From the moment I stepped in, I noticed how spotless and beautifully designed the place is. The warm earthy tones, blossom-like ceiling decor, and soft lighting create a calm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re sitting near the bar or by the large front windows, there’s a comfortable and classy vibe throughout.

Now, the food—absolutely delicious. Every plate was a feast for the eyes and the palate. The tacos were a flavor bomb with fresh lime and crunchy, colorful toppings. The wrap came generously filled, paired with perfectly seasoned fries and a smooth, vibrant sauce that brought it all together. Even the indian tapas-like dishes impressed with their fresh ingredients and balanced spices.

Presentation was top-tier, with every dish plated thoughtfully, almost like art. I loved the use of bright reds and greens, and the crispy textures added a playful touch to the experience.

To top it all off, the staff were incredibly gracious—kind, attentive, and happy to help without ever being intrusive. You feel welcomed, looked after, and at ease.

Visited Lagan Tapas for the first time this week and was very impressed indeed. I was spoilt for choice with the menu options, they offered an early evening tapas deal, a set menu, or the regular main menu which also had plenty of choice. Upon recommendation, I tried the set menu which was a selection of starters followed by a thali - you could choose either meat or vegetarian options, and I think I would like to try the veggie option next time. The thali I had came with two chicken curries, a tarka dhal (lentil curry), lamb curry, rice and a naan. I upgraded my naan from a plain to a garlic naan and was very happy, it was nice and strong in flavour. The starters were a nice selection of flavours, well presented - the chilli fish was my favourite. The thali was also very well balanced, some milder curries with some spicier ones but nothing that would blow your head off. And to finish, my favourite dessert of gulab jamun. Service was absolutely excellent, everything on the table was explained by the incredibly friendly staff so if you are not too familiar with Indian cuisine I'm sure you would be in safe hands. I will definitely be back, there's quite a menu for me to work my way...
