I was on the search for a decent steak that didn't break my bank....and I've found it! Came in on a Sunday afternoon, when it wasn't too busy, and was able to find a table right away. The atmosphere was really good. They even show different sports on different screens, which I thought was a great idea! I ordered using the QR code provided on the table, and the service was very quick with my drink, plus, I wasn't waiting too long for my steak. I had 2x 8oz steaks served with peas, tomato, mushroom and chips (I swapped these for mash) and that meal was very enjoyable, and that, plus a soft drink, came to £20, which really isn't bad at all. Quality of the food was so much better than expected for that price. I will definitely be returning to try some other menu items!!

Great pub - especially for a wheelchair user as you can get right in and they have a large disabled loo. The staff were extra friendly and attentive and went out of their way to help with every aspect of our visit. There were lots of large screens if you want to watch sports. It was a nice down to earth place and I would definitely visit again. Booths make it suitable for neurodivergent people who might also be okay with large screens but I wouldn't recommend it for children. The food was great and very cheap if you order before 5pm with a meal and one drink at £8.99 I have no complaints but I had to deduct one star as a wheelchair can only be used on the upper ground floor and it wouldn't be fare to rate a pub I haven't seen all of!

Best value for money we had during our trip. The burgers were really tasty with recipes we can't have in our countries. Overall it was full of locals during a game so it was nice. Could have been a bit better to be acknowledged by the staff as we were tourists and we struggled to understand what we were supposed to do, trying to get attention. Written on the table we have to order with the phone but no every dish is on it. Fortunately I'm not shy and my English is good enough so I asked. Otherwise we might still be there waiting. Anyway that's a five, we'd come back.

Been here for a place to come after work and the drinks as well as the staff have been nothing short of charismatic, welcoming, and incredible! Special mention for zach who’s been especially brilliant 👊🏼 Had a breakfast here recently also and can’t fault the price to quality of the food you get! Never had a bad experience here and glad to have this here as a place to go after work I’d recommend to anyone! Thanks again to the o’neils Oxford team especially zach!!

The manager is CLASS. Mistook my france rugby shirt for Scotland, saw the red hair and then helped me get a table during a busy six nations afternoon. Only then did he realise my shirt was a France shirt! Jokes aside, he was great to chat to, the bar was swift with the food service and the food was good. Perfect for a spot of lunch or daytime sports etc.
