Came here following the Oxford Beer Festival with 4 mates so we were a tad hammered and it was late. Around 9pm I think? The staff however we happy to let us in as we weren't being rowdy and just wanted some delicious Thai food. Usually I'm not one to go to chains but was willing to give this one a go as the reviews were solid and I've only heard good things! Following our drinks orders, I stuck with some sparkling water while the others got Singha on tap (I was done for booze at this point and just wanted food!). We were notified that we would have to make our orders by 9:30pm which was fine as we still had plenty of time. For food we ordered a couple of the mixed platters which had a variety of Thai Street Food classics along with the usual Prawn Crackers. This went down a treat as all the food was good, except the squid which was cooked well but lacked seasoning. Still though, it all got demolished. My personal favourite were the meat skewers which had been grilled to perfection and had that wonderful grill flavour. For mains we all ordered various curries and rice. My order was for the Beef Thai Green Curry and sticky rice. My expectation was that the Thai Green Curry was going to be spicy due to the three chilli symbols presented on the menu item. All our curries and rice arrives in wonderful little dishes which you'll see in the attached photos. The green curry had a great ratio of vegetables to beef to sauce, and it was indeed very spicy so you have been warned if you opt for the Green Curry! Wasn't an issue for me having a strong tolerance for spice. My only gripe was that the curry sauce was too thick and rich and needed to be thinned down. It meant that when mixed with the rice it was very claggy in the mouth. However, it was more than made up for by the taste and flavour which was excellent. Once we finished eating we were of course told to politely leave it was rapidly approaching the closing time of 10pm so can't blame them for wanting to kick us out so they could go home! Overall a good Thai Food experience considering it's a national chain which I usually set my expectations low for. Will I come again? Not for a while as there are quite a few other Thai Restaurants in the area I must try first to determine which one rules the roost. However, I would definitely recommend this place if you want an easy option for Thai food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rosa's Thai in Oxford and it was an absolutely amazing experience. I can confidently say that it deserves a five-star rating! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces. The staff at Rosa's Thai are incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. They were also extremely knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. We started with the chicken satay, which was perfectly grilled and served with a creamy peanut sauce that was out of this world. The flavors were so well-balanced and the chicken was juicy and flavourful. One of the highlights of our meal was the stir-fried Thai basil with fried egg. This dish had the perfect combination of heat, sweetness, and savory flavors. The basil added a fresh and aromatic touch, while the fried egg on top brought a luscious creaminess to the dish. It was an explosion of flavors and textures that left us speechless. Overall, our experience at Rosa's Thai in Oxford was top-notch. The food was superb, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was vibrant and inviting. It's a true gem that showcases the best of Thai cuisine. I highly recommend Rosa's Thai to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

The food is ok for the value and location, but it is not excellent. I'm not sure how it compares to the competition in the area, but it's nothing special. For appetizers, we tried the fried calamari and papaya salad. The green papaya salad was good but not as spicy as they made it seem. The fried calimari really wasn't that great, so I would skip that. The pad thai was decent and came with a good amount of shrimp, so I appreciated that. The massaman curry was also decent but nothing special. You would also need to get an additional rice or bread with this dish so the value doesn't match the quality. The bubble teas here also did not match the prices they're worth. I expected a bit more from them. The atmosphere here is nice, but they were a but understaffed when we went, and a lot of the tables were trying to get the attention of the only two waitresses working the entire floor.

We were said DONT COME BACK INDIAN DOGS On 28th july 2024 at approximately 9:15 pm.

During my visit to Rosa Thai at 9:15 pm Sunday evening to have a nice evening because I had a migraine we decided to treat ourselves with something soulful but not expecting that it would leave us absolutely wretched.

So as we enter there and we waited to get a table, the guy server told us that the last order is at 21:30pm and we said that’s alright as we had 15 minutes to order. But we were given the table after a waiting period roughly of 5-8 minutes. There was another elderly couple who entered the restaurant after us and then got the table after us as we sat and waived for if someone was available to take our order we weren’t paid attention or looked after at all and after a wait of 5 minutes trying to give order we got someone to attend to us. We still made it possible to order quickly and while we waited about 10 minutes from the time of giving the order for our drinks and food the old couple got served with their drinks and food, later we were informed that sorry the kitchen is closed and they won’t be serving us anymore, when we asked what about drinks which is only a fanta from the fridge they got upset and said us to leave when we called the manager she didn’t had any clue to answer and said our general manager is on her way while we patiently wait we asked if it was possible to atleast get the soft drinks served which was just a fanta but was ignored thrice, when the general manager arrived she was very rude and said “I am Christian I am not allowed to work on Sunday but I came for you, so you need to listen to me” and she said that we abused the staff? when she was asked for company registration number she said they don’t have paper and pen which is a lie as all the servers had pen and paper to take orders, when asked about the company registration number she said what are you going to sue me? And while we were leaving at the door she said "DON'T COME BACK AGAIN YOU INDIAN DOGS” When I went and asked what did you say ,she screamed “get the hell out it’s our private property.”

I believe that this behavior is not only unacceptable but also violates the principles of equal treatment and non-discrimination.

As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and dignity. The actions of your staff were a clear violation of these expectations and have caused me significant distress. I am requesting a thorough investigation into this matter and appropriate action to be taken to address this behavior.

I also urge you to implement better training for your staff to prevent such incidents in the future. It is crucial that all customers are treated equally and with respect, regardless of their race or ethnicity.

I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this matter. Please acknowledge this complaint and inform me of the steps you will be taking to address this.

I recently visited Rosas Thai and ordered the pad Thai. Unfortunately, it was disappointing, with an overpowering egg smell and lacking the expected flavors. Despite the waiter's explanation that this was normal, this hasn't been my experience with any Pad Thais before.

Our concerns were handled poorly. The waiter and manager, Isabella, discussed and seemingly mocked my request behind the bar. We weren't the only ones returning food, and the restaurant was nearly empty during peak hours.

When my partner mentioned that disagreeing with us wasn't necessary, Isabella intervened, sent our waiter away and. accused us of being rude to herself and the staff, which wasn’t true. All discussions had were handled calmly and respectfully.

While I appreciate the courteous staff, the food quality and service need improvement to say the least.

Thank you.

Just replying to the below response:

Sawasdee Kha Isabella,

Thank you for your prompt response. I appreciate your effort to address my concerns. To clarify, egg is part of Pad Thai, but the overwhelming egginess was shocking compared to my previous experiences. Contrary to your statement, no one offered to remake the pad Thai without egg.

Regarding the interaction at the bar, I am confident in my observations and perceived a sense of ridicule, which added to our discomfort. Our intention was never for you to perceive rudeness but rather to communicate in a clear and straightforward manner. We were simply expressing our disappointment with the dish and the way our concerns were addressed. The situation felt uncomfortable for us, and we were taken aback by the reaction we perceived.

Given this experience, we will not be returning. There are plenty of better Thai food options in Oxford.

Khob...
