Santa Nata — Restaurant in Oxford

Every time I visit Oxford I come here and have fond memories unfortunately my last visit was dire due to the customer service provided by one member of staff a women whose name I didn’t get. We placed our order and was not given one of our drinks which was paid for, when we politely asked she was abrupt/rude informing me we had been given it upon explaining she said it was coming and then proceeded to give everyone else their drinks and we were still left waiting for such a long time. To be clear we’d only ordered four drinks so it wasn’t a big order and she could clearly see three of our group drinking and one without so to be accused of having all items was shocking especially in the way she spoke to us. The way we heard her speak to her fellow colleagues also was disrespectful using a raised abrupt voice. We were still left waiting so long for our one outstanding drink the rest of our group had finished theirs therefore we had to request a refund. The drinks are made rather swiftly so I fail to understand why our missing one couldn’t be made and given to us more promptly and to be clear I am a patience person and could not excuse this level of poor service and the rudeness of this member of staff so much so I personally would be...

I never leave poor reviews on here, this will be the first. We came in store looking for ice cream and my husband also decided to give the pastel de nata a try. It was a really hot day and the place was very poorly ventilated, with the air conditioning blowing hot air right at the store entrance. It was suffocating and there was a weird smell of old butter or something. The ice cream was fine, straightforward, just what you would expect but the pastel de nata, sadly, gave my husband food poisoning. Why can I only give 5 stars? Let me start of by saying that I am biased as Pastel de Nata are my favourite pastry, however if all of them tasted like this I would eat them breakfast, lunch and dinner!!! Delicious doesn't cover it. The pastry the custard, the perfect blend of the two is a wonder. Alongside the coffee I had that was fantastic too this was a great mid morning treat.
