Update2025: Been here 4 times now. And regrettably the quality has dropped. Left today with a very salty and greasy after taste, with mean meal which seems to be missing sauce. Pity.
But the food is still cooked fresh, and the service is brilliant and friendly.

Well..... Where to start. I mean just go there, don't bother reading the rest of the review, it's good. Really good.
Right, for those that stayed. I have been on a strict controlled diet for training purposes for years, and very rarely I allow myself a day of indulgence, thankfully we choose here to have my splurge. I am so glad we did.
The service was warm and friendly with a clean and looked after environment. It looks rustic, but that's the design. The food wasn't greasy and had plenty of flavour, but there does have to be some criticism to counter the good. The only thing I can say, is I would have liked the jerk chicken to be hotter, after I brought this up I was told it could have been done as a request.
This level of service isn't advertised, but will be used next time.
We fully intend eating here again. Congratulations on the great service and...
Read moreA generally good experience to be had here and the food is of a great overall standard. I enjoyed a jerk chicken platter, which came with (boneless) thighs in a jerk sauce, wings, fries and corn.
The wings were in a dry rub and each one was slightly different - but both delicious with a crispy skin, which is the most important detail for me.
The thighs were excellent - a hot jerk sauce with the slight tanginess set off the flavour from the dark meat really well. I had the hot option and it was quite spicy, something akin to a Nando's hot in terms of mouth tingle.
The corn was fine, just corn. I think it would have been good if it was in a spice rub, perhaps one of the same rubs as a wing.
The fries were ok. They missed a trick here a little by not giving any upgrade options such as sweet potato or making them dirty.
Service was laid back, just as I wanted, and pretty slick, though it was very quiet when I went. The general ambiance was "Barbados shack" with corrugated metal panels and brightly coloured walls and furniture.
A great place to go alone, like I was, or with friends. Easy on the wallet and strong on...
Read moreThe staff were lovely and lively got us our cocktails and mocktails on arrival the St. Elizabeth was really good for anyone who loves a sweet drink. Ordered the wicked man 2 for the 3 of us as was doing a restaurant crawl and unfortunately it did not meet expectations, for starters I was expecting a proper platter but got a bowl with everything all together which wasn't hot and the chicken didn't taste right. We took one bite of everything each and none of us enjoyed it. We spoke to the chef and did offer to reheat but we were just put off at this point. We were told we were going to have to pay for it anyway which was quite disappointing as they offered to reheat/remake which costs ingredients anyway but it had to be done. The waitresses were lovely again but £50 for 3 drinks and a platter that did not taste good put quite a damper on the day we won't be coming back...
