Nathan's Nibbles — Restaurant in Reading

Popped in here based on a strong recommendation. Placed order for two drinks and a meal. Based on the prices stated on the board I was over charged. When I questioned the overcharge I was told that they were waiting for the boardwriter to write the new prices on the board. I pursued the overcharge and was told that the manager would pop over in a few moments. This did not happen. Afterwards I questioned the overcharge again. Unfortunately the attitude from two members of staff was poor. The matter was resolved when very reluctantly a refund of the overcharge was made. I would recommend that all prices are checked against those on the board and before you pay. Food was generally good along with the approach by the waitress who served. All could have been sorted out in a much more customer orientated way and by making corrections to prices on the board...

Broke down in my truck just across the road from this cafe... Stresses, headache, two dogs and the first hot day of the season. Major bridge roadworks... Traffic and just about everything all at once. Emergency response vehicles etc stc stc. Popped in for a burger and a much needed coffee. I was met by a band of cheerful girls and all enjoying the day. This rubbed off on me and all my stress just melted away. The food was top drawer and my coffee was perfect. I don't know the name of the girl who served me, but she offered some water for the dogs and was really helpful to me.. Thank you whoever you are.you...

Came across Nathan’s Nibbles after reading about the reopening at a new site and history of the business in a local newspaper.

I feel that it’s always good to support a family run local business.

I had the big breakfast and it was delicious, using very high quality ingredients, the sausages were superb and everything was cooked to perfection.

I was made to feel very welcome and the staff were very friendly.

I will certainly be coming back here soon (really looking forward to trying the carvery baguette).
