Just across the road from Reading University, Sizzling Spice has more than it's fair share of student deals and cut price options, though it manages to avoid being cast as a "student restaurant" alone. The service here is impeccable and the environment is very clean and well-kept, which is a nice contrast to Reading as a whole. The chef manages to successfully produce both Thai and Indian food alongside one another, which is a pleasant surprise, and while the portions are not huge, the quality is probably unsurpassed in the area. Read moreClose to the University of Reading, this Indian restaurant is one of the best I have tried recently! It serves a wide range of Indian dishes from various parts of India. Tried the Hyderabadi Biryani that had chicken & minced meat, really liked it! Also had another curry dish with nan, that turned out to be great tasting too. Bottled Lemonade & other drinks are available. The prices for fishes about £ 9-13, but if you can make it on Sunday, there is a buffet for £10.95 adults & 5.95 kids with all you can eat! Service is friendly & the place is spacious & feels authentic, worth the bit of waiting for freshly prepared...
