Rudy's Pizza Napoletana - West Bridgford — Restaurant in Rushcliffe

Service wise, excellent! Waitress Kaylee was brilliant - very friendly, welcoming and was very good with the allergies. She was a good laugh too.

Like other reviews, all the staff are very friendly and inviting. Great to have at a restaurant.

I had a margherita with prosciutto cotto ham and roasted peppers (with no olive oil) and the mixed leaf salad without the dressing.

Pizza was very nice and hot and the taste was ok. Lots of topping which is a good bonus. Size was great and worth the money. Salad was a bit soggy to be honest and didn’t taste the freshest unfortunately.

Drinks are a food price but the 1st prosecco was served warm and not cold.

Building wise - interior is very nice. Cosy, inviting and great for parties of either a small or large size. Good space between each table. Brilliant decor to make it authentic Napoli style Italian restaurant.

Menu wise - I love meat on pizza (particularly ham and beef); however a lot of the pizzas on the menu are salami or pepperoni unfortunately.

Great deal tbh if you order a margherita and then add your described toppings.

Came here with friends to try this newly opened restaurant. We were quickly shown to our table and the server, Reid, was really attentive. Drinks came in a couple of minutes and the one error (white prosecco instead of pink) was quickly rectified. We didn't have starters and were so glad because the pizzas are truly enormous. Lovely sourdough base and loads of toppings. My wife had white portobello, I had red portobello and our friends had calabrese and vegetarian nduja. All the pizzas were delicious and the side salads were pretty robust. We had affogato to finish and overall, it was a lovely evening. Our only problems were that the bare walls made it quite noisy and there seemed to be a lot of blackflies coming from the hanging plants. The pizza at Rudy is honestly amazing, one of the best I’ve had. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. We dined in around 1pm on 12/9. Our waiter, which is a bit shorter among the two waiters, threw the pizza onto the table with an annoyed face and didn’t even want to speak to us, which made us feel very uncomfortable. While waiting for our table, the server, same person, told us to wait with a bad attitude, yet treated other guests much more kindly. As the only Asians in the restaurant, it felt like we were not welcome here.

Great food, but very poor service. Sadly, I cannot recommend Rudy because of how we were treated.

To follow up, the restaurant asked me to email them after my review, which I did, but no one ever replied. It feels like they only said that to look responsive publicly, without any real intention to address the issue. Really...
